This Wade guy really had a death wish. If she ever got the chance to see him again, she would make sure he paid dearly.
"I know. I'll let Jason know. Regardless, you need to stay on guard. If you don't have to go out, stay home, or I can drop you off at the Manor to be with Grandma. The bodyguards there make it a lot safer."
Stella's warning was spot-on. He definitely needed to remind Jason to be careful. There was no telling if Wade would target him instead.
After all, Wade was well aware of his family's inner circle.
Stella agreed. "That works. I should go keep Grandma company anyway, if only to give you peace of mind."
In reality, she was more worried about Nadine's safety. Yes, the Manor had bodyguards, but she didn't trust them implicitly. She'd rather be there herself to make sure Wade didn't slip through the cracks.
"Alright, when do you want to head over?" Hearing that she was willing to go to the Manor made him feel a lot better.
"Let's go now." The sooner she got there, the sooner he could get to work on whatever he needed to handle.
Julius pulled her onto his lap. "In such a rush? Don't you want to spend a little more time with me?"
"Isn't it better if I go early? You must have a ton of things to deal with. Stop stalling. Go finish your work so you can come back early tonight and have dinner with Grandma and me."
Stella took the opportunity to feel up his chest. If there was a moment to enjoy the view, she wasn't going to miss it.
Julius chuckled softly. "Alright, whatever you say." He did have a mountain of tasks waiting for him today; he had only stayed back because he was worried about her.
With that, Julius drove Stella to the Manor.
Nadine was overjoyed to see them, especially when she heard her granddaughter-in-law was staying to keep her company.
If this gave him an excuse to sever their ties completely, then it was for the best.
People with no moral compass weren't worth his time.
"Don't worry, I know how to handle them." Nadine knew her grandson wouldn't arbitrarily destroy a business relationship, but she hadn't expected Yvonne to stoop so low.
Stella gave him a light push. "Hurry up and go to work. Come back early for dinner tonight. Whatever else you need to say can wait until then."
After leaving the Manor, Julius called Jason, warned him about Wade, told him to stay on high alert, and instructed him to come to the Manor for dinner.
Still feeling uneasy, he assigned a bodyguard to shadow Jason.
What he never anticipated was that shortly after he left, Wade would actually have the nerve to infiltrate the Manor.
