Queen of Wild Cards novel Chapter 343

Down in the crowd, the Veridian man spoke up. "Sir, look. She's using Tai Chi. I've never seen anyone use it with such absolute perfection."

The best part was how beautiful it looked!

A gorgeous girl performing elegant moves—was there anything more satisfying to watch?

The leader nodded. "Yes. It looks like she's intentionally drawing out the fight to fully showcase the essence of Tai Chi."

"Exactly. She wants the whole world to see our Veridian martial arts. Who exactly is she? How is she this incredible?"

At the very beginning, he hadn't dared to hope this little girl would make it to the end. Now, not only was she still standing, but she was very likely going to be the ultimate champion!

The leader lowered his voice. "I have no idea who she is. The man next to her seems very close to her. They might be a married couple or perhaps siblings."

"I'm guessing brother and sister. Look at him, he looks way older than her."

It wasn't that Julius was actually old. It was simply that Stella's face looked incredibly youthful and innocent, while Julius carried an air of intense maturity.

When they stood side by side, Julius was naturally the one who got called older.

Julius cleared his throat. "I'm standing right here. Do you really think it's appropriate to talk about me like this?"

He wasn't deaf!

And was he really that old?

He didn't think so at all. It was called being distinguished. These people had zero taste!

He mentally noted to ask his wife to help him with a skincare routine when they got home. He had seen her using face masks, and he decided he was going to start using them too!

The leader looked embarrassed. "I'm so sorry. We shouldn't have gossiped. We were just curious."

The two men immediately fell silent, focusing their attention back on Stella's flawless Tai Chi.

Their silence, however, didn't stop the rest of the audience from buzzing with excitement.

"That girl is using Veridia's Tai Chi, isn't she? It looks so graceful."

"Yeah. The Veridian team showed it off in the group matches yesterday, but what she's doing looks completely different."

"Her moves seem soft, but every single one is packed with lethal intent. Hers is definitely much deadlier."

"Absolutely. If she wanted him dead, he would have been gone a long time ago."

"It looks like she's playing with him on purpose."

After perfectly demonstrating the core principles of Tai Chi, Stella stopped toying with her opponent. With a single fluid palm thrust, she knocked him clean off the stage.

It was the ultimate insult.

Zero sportsmanship.

Fuck!

...

The final match was Stella against Steve. She had finally gotten her wish!

Julius warned her, "Be careful with Steve in this final round. Something isn't right with him. His explosive power today is completely abnormal."

Having watched several of Steve's matches, Julius could clearly tell he was vastly more aggressive than he had been the day before.

"I know. He's on steroids."

"You mean he took those banned performance enhancers?" Julius frowned deeply.

"Yes, I'm absolutely certain." She had intentionally gotten close to Steve earlier and could clearly smell it on him.

"Then... maybe we should forfeit?"

Those drugs caused massive spikes in aggressive power. No wonder Steve had been tearing through the competition.
