"Oh? A little girl like you should be in school. What kind of deal could you possibly make with me? Beat it, don't waste my time."
Drake assumed she was just a student. She looked the part—innocent, sweet, and entirely out of place.
He highly doubted she had anything of value to offer him.
His business dealings weren't exactly strictly legal, and he didn't just casually make deals with anyone off the street.
Though, if she was looking for a sugar daddy arrangement, he might be interested.
With that thought crossing his mind, the way he looked at her shifted, taking on a sleazy, predatory glint.
"Don't you want to win back the money you lost in the VIP lounge last night? I can help you do it."
Stella cut straight to the chase, hitting the one nerve guaranteed to grab his attention.
Beating around the bush was useless. If she didn't hook him in the first three sentences, he would just have his guards throw her out.
Drake's eyes narrowed. The sleazy glint vanished instantly, replaced by a cold, sharp appraisal.
Stella didn't flinch, holding his gaze with absolute confidence.
Backing down now would show weakness, and she couldn't afford that.
After a long, tense moment, Drake threw his head back and laughed. "You're an interesting little thing. Come on up to my office. Let's talk."
"This is my partner. Can he come with me?" She still needed to ask. If Drake refused, she'd have to leave Julius waiting outside.
"No. Just you."
He was only entertaining this because she was gorgeous and had some guts.
Why would he bring an extra guy into his office?
Just to annoy himself?
Especially since the guy was infinitely better looking than him—he definitely didn't want him around.
He honestly didn't expect much from her.
Without a word, Stella grabbed the dice cup from the table. "What numbers do you want, Drake?"
"You're telling me you can roll whatever I ask for?" This girl was full of hot air!
Stella smiled confidently. "Only one way to find out."
"Alright then. Give me a perfect vertical stack. Lowest points on top." Nina's signature move was flawless, and he had practiced it endlessly without ever mastering it.
Stella didn't waste her breath. In one smooth, lightning-fast motion, she swept the cup through the air. Without the cup even grazing the table, all six dice were effortlessly scooped inside.
She shook the cup twice in mid-air and slammed it down flat against the velvet surface.
She gestured to it. "Take a look."
Drake was slightly taken aback by how effortlessly cool her movements had been. But seeing how little she had actually shaken the cup, he asked skeptically, "That's it?"
