Queen of Wild Cards novel Chapter 431

When Stella Hawthorne arrived at the second-floor bar, it was exactly as she expected—packed.

She took a seat at the counter and ordered a drink, taking her time to savor it.

With her striking beauty on full display, it didn't take long for someone to approach her.

"Hey gorgeous, drinking alone? Care for some company?"

Stella glanced at him. He was young and handsome—thankfully, not some greasy, middle-aged creep.

She raised her glass and clinked it against his. "Cheers."

With that, she downed her drink in one smooth gulp.

"Impressive tolerance," the man said. "I'm Diven. Might I have the honor of knowing your name?"

Stella tapped his glass. "You don't seem very sincere, Diven."

"Haha, fair enough."

He tipped his head back and drained his glass.

Then, he turned to the bartender. "Get this lady a Beauty's Delight."

The bartender quickly mixed the cocktail and slid it in front of Stella.

Diven smiled. "This is on me, an apology for my lack of manners just now. May I know your name now?"

"Star Todd," Stella replied smoothly, giving her fake name.

Just then, a man in his thirties walked up. "Star... what a lovely name. I'm Jenson. Mind if I buy you a drink too?"

Before Stella could even agree, Jenson signaled the bartender. "Get her an Empress's Blush."

She was stunning, and he definitely wanted a piece of the action.

She sat down confidently.

A drink was poured for her right away.

"It's an honor to drink with such a stunning lady. Here's to you."

Stella didn't hesitate; she picked up the glass and downed it.

"Haha, I like a girl who doesn't hold back! Great tolerance. Here, let me get you one too," another man chimed in, raising his glass.

This time, Stella didn't pick up her drink. Instead, she said, "There are seven of you here. If each of you toasts me, I'll have to down seven drinks while you guys only have one. Seven against one? You wouldn't really do that to a delicate girl like me, would you?"

Even with her high tolerance, she couldn't just drink like a fish.

Jenson chuckled. "Well then, how would you like to play this?"

"Simple," she replied. "We draw cards. Whoever loses, drinks. Keeps things fair."
