The big guy had brought back nothing but processed, packaged dry bread, cakes, cookies, bottled water, and milk.
It was all just dry rations.
She had assumed they'd get hot meals. After all, it was freezing outside; they'd had a long day.
"Shut up if you don't want to die!"
"You didn't honestly think we went through all the trouble of dragging you to North Myanor for a luxury vacation, did you?"
Lucian suddenly realized this woman was genuinely a bit clueless. Maybe the restaurant incident really hadn't been her doing.
"Then what are you doing with me? You won't tell me, and it's starting to scare me, okay?"
Lucian looked at her like she was an idiot. "You're only getting scared now? Isn't it a little late for that?"
"Well, what am I supposed to do? Why don't you just let me go?"
"Do you think that's even a possibility?" She really was a foolish woman. Yesterday must have just been a bad case of food poisoning on his end.
Stella grumbled, "Even if this isn't a vacation, do we really have to eat this garbage?"
She knew full well she wasn't on holiday, but fighting for a decent meal wasn't too much to ask!
The pierced guy glared darkly. "You're lucky you're getting anything at all. You don't get to be picky. One more word, and I'll use you and kill you!"
Stella, entirely unfazed but acting the part, shot back, "You dragged me all the way out here. You wouldn't kill me now."
The pierced guy stood up, grabbed her roughly by the chin, and stared at her with eyes like a venomous snake.
"You think I wouldn't dare? Snapping your neck would be as easy as crushing an ant!"
"Ow, ow, ow, let go! Fine, I'll be quiet!"
Damn it, grabbing her by the throat. If she weren't trying to meet their big boss, there was no way she'd swallow this kind of disrespect.
The pierced guy released her. "Behave, or I'll stop being nice."
If it weren't for her stunning looks—which would definitely earn them points with the boss—he would have laid her out by now.
Stella rubbed her neck; it burned from his grip.
This gloomy guy really didn't hold back.
