"Hey, can you take this blindfold off? It's really uncomfortable."
The pierced guy snapped, "Keep talking and I'll knock you out."
Stella shut her mouth. Her neck was still sore from being knocked out at the airport yesterday.
She didn't want to go through that again.
The luxury car drove for another hour before finally rolling to a stop.
Once they stepped out, Lucian untied the black cloth from Stella's eyes.
Stella blinked against the light, taking a moment to adjust before surveying her surroundings.
When the environment came into focus, she cursed internally: *Holy crap!*
It looked like a massive compound. The building in front of her was a sprawling three-story structure, and the expansive lot outside could easily fit forty or fifty cars.
But the entire perimeter was sealed off by high walls topped with pulsed electric fences.
It was a state-of-the-art perimeter security system designed to prevent intrusions, escapes, and theft.
And this was just one section of the compound. The entire facility was vast.
Had she just been brought into some twisted crime ring?
The big guy had disappeared the moment they got out of the car, leaving only Lucian and the pierced guy.
Lucian watched her while the pierced guy stepped aside to make a phone call.
After hanging up, the pierced guy walked back over to Lucian. "Let's go. The boss says to lock her up with the others for now. He wants to see us."
Hearing this, Stella got a very bad feeling.
What kind of illegal syndicate was this?
She'd heard rumors about the massive telecom fraud syndicates operating in North Myanor. Maybe she had just been dragged right into the heart of one.
Well, she was here now, so she had to roll with it. Whether it was a wolf's den or a tiger's lair, she was going to tear through it.
