Stella hesitated for a moment before boldly voicing a request. "Tiger, my luggage was already checked in at the Port City airport, so I don't have any clean clothes to change into.
"Could I at least have my backpack back? All my daily skincare is in there, and... well, you wouldn't want me to smell bad, right?"
Tiger agreed without a second thought. "You can have your bag back, but I'll hold onto your phone and ID for now.
"Someone will drop off some clean clothes for you later. Like I said, be a good girl, and I'll treat you well."
He didn't mind being generous with a woman he fancied.
If she gave him a son, he might even consider giving her a bit more freedom later on.
But if she caused trouble, all bets were off.
"Thank you, Tiger," Stella replied softly, playing the role of the submissive, caged bird perfectly.
Tiger brushed a hand against her cheek, smirked, and pulled out his phone to make the arrangements.
Stella suppressed a wave of nausea. This bastard had touched her face twice now. Someday, she was going to chop his hands off.
Five minutes later, a guard brought Stella's backpack in. Tiger pulled out her ID and phone, inspecting them closely.
True to her word, the bag was only filled with various bottles and jars of cosmetics.
He stared at the ID card, his brow furrowing. "Didn't you say your name was Star Todd? Why does this ID say Stella Hawthorne?"
"Tiger, that ID is a fake. When I went out to the cruise ships to ask around, using a fake identity felt safer."
"Makes sense. I'll take your word for it... for now."
He rummaged through the bag one last time, found nothing suspicious, and handed it over.
About ten minutes later, a woman in her thirties walked into the office. "Tiger," she greeted respectfully.
"Take her to my place, then get her a completely new wardrobe. Everything from the inside out. You have two hours. Any questions?"
