Queen of Wild Cards novel Chapter 451

“Come here. Dry my hair for me.”

“Yes, Tiger.” Stella Hawthorne submissively walked over and used the hairdryer to blow-dry his hair.

“Are those clothes from this afternoon?” he asked, eyeing her outfit once his hair was dry.

“Yeah, the woman who dropped me off bought them for me. She said these were the most expensive, highest-quality clothes around.”

Tiger stared at the baggy, tacky, and cheaply made garments on her, at a loss for words.

Doris had probably grabbed them off some random street vendor. No wonder she claimed two hours was enough time—she hadn't put an ounce of effort into this.

The fifty-year-old cleaning ladies in the compound dressed better than his woman.

Was he underpaying her or something?

Buying this garbage for his woman to wear?

If he actually took her out looking like this, he'd be the laughingstock of the town.

Had Doris done this on purpose?

Tiger was still mulling over whether the things Stella had told him were true or false.

But before he could figure it out, a wave of drowsiness washed over him. He suddenly felt incredibly exhausted.

He stumbled to the bed and immediately passed out, falling asleep before he could even utter his original intention of asking her to sleep next to him.

Stella kindly tucked him in, then pulled another blanket out of the closet and settled onto the sofa to sleep.

She didn't dare touch his phone. There was no telling if he had some sort of tracking or interception software installed. If she tried to contact Julius Blackwood and Tiger found out, she'd be in deep trouble.

If only she had her husband's hacking skills.

...

The next day.

Stella woke up and put her blanket away before Tiger opened his eyes, then slipped into bed and lay down beside him.

Otherwise, he would get suspicious.

When Tiger woke up, he looked down at the beautiful woman sleeping peacefully beside him. A rare sliver of softness pierced his normally ruthless heart.
