Tiger looked at the spread on the table, then at the young woman waiting eagerly for his return. The corners of his mouth twitched upward as he went to wash his hands before joining her.
“Tiger, I wasn’t sure what you liked or if you had any dietary restrictions, so I just made my own favorites. If it’s not to your taste, just tell me. As long as it isn’t too complicated, I can cook it.”
He picked up his silverware, tasted the sweet and sour fish, and nodded in approval. “Not bad at all. I’m not a picky eater.”
It really was excellent—way better than takeout. He hadn't expected someone so gorgeous to be such an incredible cook.
“I’m glad you like it.” Stella placed a piece of beef in chili-oil broth onto his plate and said sweetly, “Try this one.”
Tiger took a bite. “It’s decent. Would be even better if it were spicy.”
Stella’s face lit up. “Oh, so you like spicy food! That’s wonderful. I love spicy food too, but I held back because I was worried you couldn't handle it. I’ll make it spicy next time.”
She absolutely loved spicy food but hadn't dared to use any chili before knowing his preferences.
“Alright, spicy it is next time.” Tiger was in an excellent mood. His tone was noticeably softer, completely stripped of its usual icy edge.
After they finished eating, he gave his instructions. “I’m going to the study to handle some business. Don’t disturb me. Run a bath for me in two hours.”
Stella nodded obediently. “Understood, Tiger.”
A bath? Perfect. She would certainly make sure it was ready.
Two hours later, Tiger emerged from the study.
He returned to the bedroom to find his bath already drawn.
Just like the night before, he climbed into bed after his bath and quickly drifted into a deep sleep.
Watching him sleep like a log, Stella gleefully slipped out to investigate his study.
So that room was his office. Time to see if there was anything useful inside.
