Queen of Wild Cards novel Chapter 506

"You're awake? I made lunch. Come on, let's eat."

The man spoke softly, walking over to interlace his fingers with hers and leading her toward the dining table.

"I thought you went to the office."

"I'm staying home with you today."

She had just come back; there was no way he could bear leaving her alone at home.

Besides, Jason was managing things at the company. Missing one day wouldn't hurt.

When they reached the dining room, Stella saw the table laden with all her favorite dishes.

"Why did you make so much? How are the two of us supposed to finish all this?"

"I just wanted to make the things you love. You look like you've lost weight."

He had worked so hard to get her to a healthy weight before, and after one trip to North Myanor, it felt like she had shrunk again. Holding her last night, she felt too delicate.

"Did I? I think I'm fine." Subconsciously, Stella pushed her chest out to emphasize that she hadn't lost her curves.

Julius chuckled softly. "True. You didn't lose anything there."

"You... you're awful! Just eat!" she playfully scolded, her cheeks flushing.

"Yes, ma'am. Here, try this." Julius, in high spirits, continuously piled the best cuts of meat into her bowl.

After lunch, Stella caught Julius up on everything that had happened in North Myanor, including the details about her grandfather.

"That's good news, relatively speaking. Missing is better than the alternative. Maybe someone rescued him. Don't stress too much; things will turn around," Julius reassured her.

"I know. I'll find him eventually." As long as there was hope, she would never give up.

"Let's go back to the family estate for dinner tonight. Nadine talks about you every single day. If you don't show up soon, she might actually disown me," Julius said, smoothly pivoting the conversation.
