"Are you really sure the baby Faye is carrying is mine?" Julius asked coldly.

Kael's heart skipped a beat. "You know?"

Julius sneered. "I wouldn't have come looking for you if I wasn't certain. To tell you the truth, it was your own precious daughter who tipped me off about your fake death stunt. Otherwise, I might have actually been fooled."

Kael cursed in frustration. "That useless waste of space. If I'd known, I wouldn't have cared whether she lived or died."

He had worked so hard to scheme for her, only for her to turn around and sell her own father out. What use was she?

"Since she's useless to me now, do whatever you want with her. Whether she lives or dies is her own problem."

Julius laughed darkly. Kael truly was ruthless. When she was useful, she was his daughter; the moment she wasn't, he tossed her aside.

Kael barked a command to his men, "Tie them all up and take them away!"

"Stella, five against twenty. Do you like our odds?"

Having seen her in action back in North Myanor, Julius wasn't the least bit worried about their current predicament. If anything, their opponents were the ones who needed to worry about taking a beating.

"Piece of cake, darling. Just a bunch of lightweights. It won't even take ten minutes to flatten them all."

Stella didn't see these men as a threat at all. As long as they didn't have guns, she had nothing to fear from a mere twenty guys.

Besides, the three bodyguards Julius brought along were highly trained. Five against twenty was more than enough.

"You heard her," Julius addressed his men. "Since my wife gave the green light, don't hold back. Show them what Veridians are made of."

"Yes, Boss."

The three bodyguards hadn't seen Stella fight before. They assumed the delicate-looking woman was just talking big because she knew her husband would protect her.

Kael couldn't stand their arrogant display. "You really have a death wish. You'll be begging for mercy soon enough. Get them!"

"Yes, sir!" the men shouted, swarming forward.

The five of them were instantly surrounded from all sides.

Kael issued a vicious order: "Beat them down!"
