Queen of Wild Cards novel Chapter 545

Stella casually strolled over, pulling a slender silver needle from her hair. She gave Quintin a quick prick, jolting him instantly awake.

Hovering the needle dangerously close to his eyeball, she issued a chilling threat. "Make a sound, and I'll blind you. Understand?"

Quintin was absolutely terrified. This woman was a monster! He hadn't even managed to touch her before she kicked him into unconsciousness, and now he was waking up to sharp, agonizing pain all over his body.

And now she was threatening to poke his eyes out!

Angel? What angel? She was a demon in a beautiful disguise!

Desperate to keep his sight, he nodded frantically. "I won't scream! I swear!"

"Julius, ask him whatever you want to know. Hurry."

Seeing his fierce little wife scare a grown man so badly he looked ready to wet himself almost made Julius laugh.

Any other woman in this situation would be sobbing in fear.

His wife, on the other hand, had nearly kicked her would-be assaulter to death and was now casually threatening to blind him.

Swallowing his amusement, Julius kept his expression dark and commanding. "Who exactly is Kael, and what kind of power does he have here?"

Quintin desperately wanted to scream for the guards outside, but he didn't dare. One wrong move and that needle would plunge straight into his eye.

Left with no choice, he spilled everything. "Kael is my cousin. His mistress is the daughter of Florian City's underground boss. They have massive influence here."

That was exactly why he had fled here to find his cousin after stealing the confidential documents. It was the only place he felt safe.

Julius was genuinely surprised. Kael was painfully average-looking. How had a guy like that managed to seduce a mafia boss's daughter?

"Where are we? Why did Kael bring us here?"

Quintin clamped his mouth shut.

The silver needle edged a fraction of an inch closer to his cornea. If he so much as blinked, the sharp metal would pierce his eye.
