She made a swift motion as if to drive the silver needle straight into his eye.
Quintin squeezed his eyes shut in sheer panic. "I'll talk! I'll talk! The women are given to Gina's father!"
That was the real reason his cousin had forbidden him from touching this woman.
Lust had clouded his judgment, and now he severely regretted it.
Furious, Stella jammed the needle hard into a pressure point on Quintin's neck, knocking him out cold instantly.
Damn it!
That bastard Kael was planning to sell them all out to the worst kind of people!
Julius stared at the unconscious Quintin, completely speechless. He hadn't even finished his interrogation!
Noticing Julius's exasperated expression, Stella winced. She might have acted a bit too impulsively.
"Should I... wake him up again?"
Julius was just about to say, "Yes, hurry up," when the heavy warehouse doors were suddenly thrown open.
This time, the intruders moved with terrifying speed. Before any of them could react, the group had already swept into the room.
There were six or seven of them, all dressed in black tactical gear. They clearly weren't with the thugs from the night before.
Stella scrutinized the newcomers, her brow arching in surprise. "It's you?"
It was the middle-aged man she had bumped into near the restaurant restroom the day before.
"It is. We meet again, miss."
Julius tugged at her sleeve, lowering his voice. "Stella, who is he?"
She had traveled to Florian City with him. When did she have time to meet this guy?
Stella whispered back, "He's the guy I accidentally bumped into at the restaurant yesterday."
Turning back to the man, she asked, "So, sir, are you trespassing, staging a rescue, seeking revenge, or just playing vigilante for the day?"
