Right now, Astral Pharmaceuticals had backorders stretching two years into the future. By the time they resumed operations after the new year, they locked in another two years' worth of contracts. They were officially booked out for the next three years.
Making money with her was completely effortless.
Stella smiled. "Obviously. But I'm an unsung hero, so keep your mouth shut about the North Myanor thing. No broadcasting it."
She didn't want the criminal underworld knowing she was the architect of their downfall. The last thing she needed was some cartel boss putting a hit out on her.
"I know, I know. Do I look like a gossip?" he scoffed, offended by the accusation.
"I only told you because I know you can keep a secret. Where did you book my hotel? Drop me off there first."
She had only shared that detail because he asked, knowing he was exceptionally discreet.
Kyson was reliable. If he wasn't, he wouldn't have built Astral Pharmaceuticals into an empire.
She was practically a ghost investor. She provided the capital and the proprietary tech, but Kyson did all the heavy lifting in management and scaling.
Kyson shifted gears. "I put you up at the Riviera Hotel for tonight. I also set up a dinner with a few key partners later.
"You haven't shown your face in Bay City for over half a year. People were starting to think I bumped you off or something. I'll take you to the lab tomorrow."
The pharmaceutical headquarters was about twenty miles from her research facility, so staying downtown was a bit out of the way for her lab work.
"With you running things, it makes no difference whether I'm here or not. You're the CEO of Astral. I trust you completely."
Kyson let out a helpless laugh. "I have never met anyone as relaxed as you. Aren't you ever worried I'll execute a hostile takeover and steal the company?"
"Nope. You're not wired like that."
