Sean rolled his eyes. "Mr. Blackwood, I have a girlfriend. I don't need a blind date, thank you very much!"
Julius's expression cooled. "Then why do you keep staring at me?"
He knew he was exceptionally good-looking, but Sean staring at him like that was just weird. They were both men.
Sean stroked his chin thoughtfully. "I just think it's incredibly bizarre. You're a massive corporate CEO—are you too broke to afford a new brooch, or what? Why are you wearing the exact same one every single day?"
He had noticed it last week. The boss had worn this specific brooch for a solid week, and he was still wearing it even after returning from Bay City.
Anyone who didn't know better would think Blackwood Group was on the verge of bankruptcy and the CEO couldn't even afford a change of accessories.
In the past, the boss never wore the same brooch twice.
Julius shot him a sideways glance. "So, you're staring at my brooch, not me?"
Sean flashed a sarcastic smile. "Both. I'm admiring the brooch and observing you."
Julius puffed out his chest proudly. "What would a clueless bachelor like you understand? My wife gave this to me. Of course I'm going to wear it every day."
Mostly, it was because his wife had said that pinning it over his heart meant she was in his heart, and he was in hers.
Wearing her gift kept him in a fantastic mood all day long.
Comprehension dawned on Sean's face. "Oh, that makes sense. The boss's young wife gave it to you. But you still shouldn't wear it every single day. Why don't you ask her to buy you a few more?"
As the face of Blackwood Group, it wasn't exactly ideal for the CEO to wear the exact same accessory repeatedly.
Julius frowned in displeasure. "What do you mean 'young wife'? Never call her that again. It makes it sound like I have multiple wives. Address her as Mrs. Blackwood."
Stella was his one and only wife. Even if she was younger, Sean couldn't just throw around terms that might give people the wrong idea.
Still, Sean made a fair point. He would talk to Stella tonight and ask her to buy him a few more brooches so he could rotate them.
