After hearing the whole story, Sabrina nodded in approval. "Your brother actually did a decent job. He knows how to protect his wife and keep Stella from being bullied. And good for you for speaking up. If you hadn't defended her, I would have destroyed you!"

Jason grinned playfully. "If someone was bullying you, I'd defend you too. And I promise I'd do an even better job than my brother. Want to consider marrying me?"

He wasn't entirely sure why, but he suddenly wanted to test the waters and see how she would react.

"In your dreams! I would never marry you!"

She was only playing the part of his fake girlfriend to make his grandmother happy.

"I was just joking! You're way too fierce, I'd never marry you anyway."

Jason spat out the words to save his own pride, but the moment they left his mouth, a pang of regret hit him.

Sabrina kicked him hard under the table. "Is that something you should be joking about?!"

"Damn it, Sabrina, why did you kick so hard? Do you know how much that hurts?"

She shot him a triumphant glare. "You just called me fierce, didn't you? If I didn't kick you, I'd be letting you down."
