Stella and Sabrina linked arms and walked onto the stage, taking their places on either side of Nadine.
Nadine beamed proudly as she introduced them. "Everyone has already met Julius’s lovely wife, Stella. And this is Jason's girlfriend, Sabrina. I absolutely adore both of these girls! I'm so happy today, and later..."
While Nadine continued her speech, the crowd below erupted into hushed whispers.
"Jason's girlfriend is a Sherwood. That's a perfect union of status and wealth. She might actually outrank Julius’s wife."
"I wouldn't be so sure. Did you see Stella's face? She is absolutely stunning."
"Exactly. And did you see how violently Julius defends her? Yasmin barely criticized her, and he practically went to war for her."
"Julius is the CEO of the Blackwood Group. He has more money and power than God. He doesn't need to marry for status! As long as his wife is gorgeous and makes him happy, that's all that matters."
"It's honestly refreshing. In most families with an empire this big, the brothers would be slaughtering each other for the inheritance, but these two are incredibly tight."
"Well, his mother's side of the family is terrifyingly powerful too. If you were handed the Blackwood Group, could you run it as flawlessly as Julius? The vultures would have picked your bones clean by now."
"True enough."
While the guests gossiped, the Blackwood brothers were having their own whispered conversation.
"If you keep dragging your feet, she is going to dump you," Julius murmured.
His brother had been 'dating' Sabrina for this long and still hadn't actually locked her down. Pathetic.
Unlike him. The second he realized what he wanted, he made her his immediately.
"Are you kidding? She is terrifying! Why would I make a move? If I actually married her, she would violently bully me for the rest of my life."
If he truly married Sabrina, he would never know peace again.
