Queen of Wild Cards novel Chapter 604

After speaking, she tugged at Roxanne's sleeve, signaling her to hurry up and apologize.

Her aunt had never been this difficult to deal with before. She had specifically come to apologize, so why wasn't she being given any grace?

Did the old lady really value this granddaughter-in-law that much?

Last night, her daughter told her Stella was just a country girl. With Julius's status, he could have any woman he wanted.

What on earth did her aunt see in her?

Yasmin just couldn't understand it!

Roxanne nervously picked at her fingers, keeping her head down. "Julius, Stella, I'm sorry. I was wrong last night, and I shouldn't have said those things. Please forgive me."

No matter how resentful she felt inside, she had no choice but to bow her head and apologize.

She had clearly understood the old lady's earlier words—calling her an outsider, pointing out that she was older than Stella yet still acted like a tactless, ignorant child.

Julius let out a soft scoff. "Whether or not you're forgiven depends entirely on my wife. In this house, my wife has the final say."

Yasmin immediately caught his meaning; he wanted her to personally apologize to Stella.

Stepping forward, she gently grasped Stella's hand. "Stella, I am so sorry. We're all family here. You'll forgive your aunt and cousin, won't you?"

They had only said a few out-of-line comments. Surely she wouldn't hold such a petty grudge?

Stella shot Julius a glare. Why did he just kick the ball into her court?

She preferred just sitting back and watching the show!

"Don't try to guilt-trip my wife," Julius intervened. "She's young and innocent. She doesn't understand your manipulative little games."
