"In that case, you might be waiting for at least another half hour. It's Sunday, so the young master doesn't have to go into the office and usually sleeps in. I'll take my leave now."
Julius was actually highly disciplined. Whenever he stayed at the manor, he woke up at a set time every morning for a jog.
But on his days off, he never rose early, preferring to stay in bed and cuddle with his wife a little longer. Exactly how much longer was anyone's guess.
With that, Larry excused himself from the living room.
Yasmin and Roxanne exchanged a speechless glance. How could they have forgotten it was Sunday?
They really had come far too early. They hadn't even eaten breakfast before rushing over, and now their stomachs were rumbling.
After sitting in the living room for over ten minutes, Roxanne couldn't help but complain, "Mom, I'm starving. Just ask one of the maids to bring us something to eat."
"I'm hungry too, but you'll just have to hold it in."
"Why?"
Why did they have to starve when they were hungry? What kind of logic was that?
It wasn't like her cousin's house was short on food.
Yasmin shot her daughter a sharp look and snapped, "Do you want people to think we specifically came here to freeload off their breakfast?"
Roxanne muttered an "oh" and dropped the subject, enduring her hunger as they waited. It would be rather humiliating to look like they were begging for food.
After her walk, the old lady intentionally sat outside for an extra half hour before heading inside.
Larry had informed her of their arrival, and she had no desire to rush back, fully intending to let them sweat it out.
That was what they deserved for speaking so poorly of her precious granddaughter-in-law last night.
