After all, even a man as insanely busy as his boss had spent the entire morning glued to the broadcast.
Julius neither confirmed nor denied the suspicion. He simply looked up at Sean. "Don't you have work to do? Why are you loitering in here?"
"I'll leave right now." Sean immediately pivoted toward the door.
He could easily watch the live stream in his own office anyway!
He was determined to figure out if that masked woman was actually Mrs. Blackwood.
Back at the venue, Stella and Kyohei Sano were officially beginning their match.
Kyohei had selected Live Clinical Diagnosis.
The rules were straightforward: two patients with identical symptoms were brought out. Stella and Kyohei would treat them simultaneously, and whoever cured their patient first would be declared the winner.
The patients weren't suffering from some bizarre, terminal illness like the ones featured in those overdramatic web shorts. Instead, they were two individuals suffering from Acute Torticollis.
When the two patients were brought onto the stage, they had to be wheeled in. From the extreme tilt of their necks, it was clearly severe; the pain was so agonizing they couldn't turn their heads even a fraction of an inch.
The host stood to the side and explained, "These two individuals woke up this morning suffering from Acute Torticollis. Up until this moment, they have received absolutely no medical treatment.
Mr. Sano and Ms. Hawthorne will perform live treatments. Whoever cures their patient first takes the win. Are the two of you ready?"
Both Stella and Kyohei nodded.
"Since both of you are ready, please begin your treatments."
Stella gestured graciously. "After you, Mr. Sano."
Kyohei scoffed coldly. "Drop the act. If it weren't for the Aeterna Pill, I wouldn't even bother competing against you."
He couldn't fathom why she had suddenly targeted him. His original goal had been a newly developed drug held by the representative from the Yaran Federation.
Her masters had always told her she held grudges and could be incredibly petty.
Whenever someone crossed her, she struck back immediately. Even if she couldn't retaliate on the spot, she would relentlessly scheme until she made their life utterly miserable.
Kyohei sneered arrogantly. "Keep running your mouth while you still can. Just don't start crying when you lose."
He was going to make sure she suffered a humiliating defeat!
Stella let out a sharp laugh. "The only one who's going to be crying is you. Let me make one thing clear, though. When you lose, don't have a mental breakdown and try to slice your own throat or commit ritual suicide on stage. I really hate the sight of blood."
Stella swallowed the curse words she desperately wanted to use. They were on a live stream; she had to maintain a civilized image.
People from Rubinia Country were notorious sore losers. Whenever they failed, they loved to resort to dramatic self-harm.
By calling it out in advance, she was doing her part to discourage it. If he still lost his mind and tried something stupid, it would have absolutely nothing to do with her.
