Stella met his gaze and asked, "Why are you looking for the person in this video?"
Why was Julius so dead set on proving it was her?
"She saved my life two years ago, and I've been looking for her ever since."
Keeping her eyes locked on his, Stella replied, "Then it's definitely not me."
She was absolutely certain she hadn't saved him two years ago.
She did, however, have a grudge against him from one year ago, and she hadn't even settled that score yet!
One of these days, she'd make him pay for that, otherwise she'd be the one losing out.
Disgusted, Stella said, "You got the answer you wanted. You'll find your savior eventually. Now go take a shower. You stink!"
Julius let go of her, thoroughly disappointed. She was right. She was so petite, with the innocent vibe of the girl next door—how could she possibly be the one who saved him? He had definitely overthought it.
He sniffed his shirt. She was right about the smell; he reeked of alcohol and it was pretty gross.
He got out of bed, grabbed some clothes, and headed into the bathroom to shower.
After showering and eating breakfast, Julius called the friends he had gone out with the night before.
Stella had already filled him in on how she handled the aftermath of their wild night.
He just wanted to check if they were awake and if they could make it home on their own.
It was his party, and they had only drank so much for his sake. Checking in on them was the least he could do.
Fortunately, Stella had the common sense to call Jason to clean up the mess last night. At least she wasn't completely clueless.
Without exception, the moment he called, he was bombarded with complaints!
