Stella heard her phone ringing and saw the text, but she had deliberately ignored the call.

She figured Frederick was just calling to throw a fit about missing her wedding. She had zero interest in listening to his nonsense.

Right now, she was out on a private island enjoying a getaway with Julius Blackwood and their family.

Most of the guests who had stayed overnight on the yacht disembarked that morning. The only ones left were the Blackwood family, Fidelia, her masters, her grandfather, and her biological father—just close family, no outsiders.

She only found out last night that Julius had purchased the island right after they got their marriage license. He even had a team develop and build on it, turning it into a stunning resort destination.

Hearing the notification chime, she picked up her phone and glanced at the screen.

Reading the message, she couldn't help but laugh. Frederick hadn't been able to attend her wedding yesterday, so what kind of stunt was he trying to pull now?

"What's so funny, darling?"

"Take a look for yourself," Stella said, handing him the phone.

Julius chuckled after reading it. "Frederick must have heard that you're a partner at Astral and wants a piece of the pie."

"If I didn't already know the truth about my parentage, I might have actually fallen for his lies."

Frederick knew exactly how much she cherished everything related to her mother. Since she had already taken all of her mother's belongings, the only leverage he thought he had left was the ashes.
