Stella had wanted to escort them personally, but her masters and grandfather firmly refused, not wanting her to exhaust herself traveling back and forth.
She watched wistfully as the six elders got into their cars, only turning back once they had completely disappeared from sight.
In the afternoon, she took Errol Rox to her mother's grave.
She crouched down, placing a bouquet of flowers in front of the headstone, and spoke to the photograph. "Mom, I brought Dad to see you."
"Mom, Julius and I had a beautiful, grand wedding. I know you must have been watching from heaven."
"Also, I'm going to have a baby. Please watch over the baby and keep him safe and healthy."
"Mom, Grandpa got his memory back, but he didn't want to stay with me. He went back to live in the mountains with my masters."
"Mom, don't worry. I know it was Frederick who did this to you, and I promise I will avenge you."
"Mom, I miss you so much. When are you going to visit me in my dreams?"
Stella murmured softly to her mother for a while before stepping aside to give her father some space.
"Dad, you go ahead and talk to Mom. I'll wait over there."
She stepped away, instructing the bodyguards to keep a respectful distance.
She knew her father had a lifetime of things he wanted to say to her mother.
Besides, the older man always got incredibly teary-eyed whenever it came to her mother. She figured she should give him some time and save his pride.
Errol stayed by the headstone of the woman he loved for an hour, reminiscing about all the beautiful moments they had shared.
An hour later, he finally walked away.
Stella took one look at his bloodshot eyes and knew he had been crying again!
Errol spoke softly, filled with reluctance. "Stella, Dad has to go back to South Africa. Take good care of yourself."
