"I can sign it, but I have a few questions that have been bothering me. If you answer me truthfully, I promise I'll sign."
"Speak." Seeing her cooperate, Frederick didn't mind indulging her.
Stella posed her first question: "Am I really your biological daughter?"
She already knew the answer, but she wanted to hear his response.
Frederick was visibly stunned before asking, "You know? Did your grandfather tell you?"
Wasn't that old man missing?
"It doesn't matter how I know. Just answer the question."
"Fine, no, you're not my biological daughter. Why else do you think I never wanted to spare you a second glance? Your wretched mother was already pregnant when she married me. Your grandfather practically forced me to be her fallback plan. How could I ever love you? I didn't just dislike you; I despised that bitch of a mother you had."
"Shut up!" Stella snapped angrily. "Don't you dare insult my mother! Do you think I don't know the truth? You only married her because you were greedy for my grandfather's money. Before you married her, my grandfather already told you she was pregnant. If you despised the idea so much, you could have called off the wedding! Why didn't you?"
