Queen of Wild Cards novel Chapter 79

Julius looked at her with pure innocence. "To make Grandma happy. Plus, I wanted to."

He had already kissed her beautiful, flawless face countless times while she was asleep.

Kissing her just now really was to make his grandmother smile, but it was also because he wanted to know what it felt like when she was awake.

Stella's face flushed hot, and she shoved him again. "You're taking advantage of me!"

Her accusation lacked bite, mostly because she couldn't even look him in the eye.

Last night had been a disaster. Somehow, she had ended up tightly wrapped around Julius in her sleep.

She had woken up sweating, only to realize the source of the blazing heat was the man she was clinging to.

When she lived at the manor, she had always slept perfectly fine cuddling a pillow. How did moving into the new house instantly turn him into her personal body pillow?

Even weirder, she was usually a notoriously light sleeper. But for some inexplicable reason, sleeping next to him knocked her out completely, leaving her feeling overwhelmingly safe.

Julius stood up and smoothly pulled her up with him. "How about I let you take advantage of me to make it even?"

"Fine! Prepare to get felt up!" Stella declared, actually reaching out.

She didn't just pat his cheek or touch his Adam's apple; her hands drifted down to trace his chest, his abs, his narrow waist—and she showed zero signs of stopping her downward descent.

Julius swiftly caught her wandering hands. "Don't play with fire."

This completely shattered his expectations. Not only was the little terror entirely unashamed, but her roaming hands were getting dangerously bold.

He had literally just stepped out of the shower, and he was half a second away from needing another cold one!

Stella pouted in annoyance. "Didn't you just tell me to take advantage of you?"

Only an idiot turns down a free meal. She wasn't about to play the shy virgin and say, 'Who wants to touch you?'
