Chapter 106 Surprise?
The one who told Amelia Johnson was a housekeeper.
Usually, Damien Taylor’s villa didn’t have any staff, but it seemed he was planning to stay
long–term now, so someone had been arranged.
Amelia walked upstairs with a spring in her step but couldn’t help wondering-
Why did he want her to wait upstairs? Was he scheming another surprise?
When she got to Damien’s room, she was just about to knock when she noticed the door was
ajar.
A sly glint flashed in Amelia’s eyes–maybe it was her turn to spook him for once.
She pushed the door open-
There was a loud “bang” as the door bounced back a bit.
Damien, mid–change, calmly turned around–and locked eyes with Amelia’s red–as–a–tomato
face. Her wide–open eyes said it all.
“I… uh…” She was trying to speak.
“Sorry! So sorry!” Amelia spun around in a flash, heart pounding out of control. Her brain had
short–circuited–all she could think about was that very unfiltered image!
That’s what they meant by ‘clothes make you look lean, but take them off and bam!‘
Broad shoulders, tight muscles, not just an eight–pack but perfectly defined V–lines–talk
about nosebleed material.
Though to be fair-
Cough–he was wearing pants.
A few minutes later, Damien stepped out, fully dressed, looking calm as ever. “I told the staff
to let you know I was waiting downstairs. Guess she heard it wrong.”
Amelia covered her face, cheeks burning. She should’ve known better. Seriously, how many
more surprise moments could she expect in a day?
She wanted to give him a scare but ended up scaring herself instead.

“Watch where you’re going,” Damien said as he grabbed her arm to stop her from slamming
into the wall.
She gave an awkward chuckle and avoided eye contact.
Seeing her flustered and all cute like that, Damien couldn’t help but tease, “What? Still
recovering from what you saw?”
“N–no! Not at all…” Amelia frantically shook her head, but her face heated up again
immediately.
Then it hit her-
Wait a minute, that sounded kinda wrong…
She glanced up and–yep–ran right into Damien’s obviously amused gaze. With a soft glare
at him, she wisely decided not to continue that conversation.
Until the new Black Feather version was ready, Amelia had offered to be Damien’s driver. That
way, his team didn’t have to fuss with choosing a car, and he’d ride comfortably too.
Damien gladly agreed–this meant they’d be seeing each other multiple times a day.
After dropping Damien off at the Taylor Group, Amelia got a call from Isla Shaw. She grinned as she picked up.
“Hey, missing me already, little Shaw–Shaw?”
Isla burst out laughing, “Summer, seriously? You and Emily are such bullies!”
Amelia laughed too, “Hey! I thought that was a nickname full of love!”
“No way! Anyway, do you have time to stop by the set?” Isla asked.
Since Amelia didn’t have much going on that day, she happily agreed.
Of course, she rolled up to the set in the Black Feather.
While looking for a spot to park, Amelia was just turning the wheel when someone suddenly
dashed out in front of her. She slammed the brakes just in time–any slower and someone
would’ve flown.
Was this… an insurance scam or something?
She turned and–to her surprise–it was Zoey Mitchell.

Stiprine?
Amelia smiled, voice clear as ever. “Yep. You were there too, remember? Everyone heard it.
