Amelia Johnson drove the Black Feather all the way to Taylor Mansion without running into a
single red light. Honestly, it felt like her best driving day ever. Probably because everyone on
the road assumed Damien Taylor was inside.
She couldn’t help but laugh a little at the thought.
After parking in the garage of Villa 16, she casually walked over to Villa 15 to look for
Damien. But halfway there, it hit her–why was she even here? Just to drop a “hi“? Wasn’t that
super random?
Her steps slowed.
“We’re dating now. You’ll need to get used to it.”
Damien’s overbearing yet gentle voice echoed in her head.
Right, they were a couple now! A girlfriend didn’t need an excuse to see her boyfriend.
With that, her mood instantly lifted.
“Mr. Taylor didn’t seem too into that new limited–edition Maserati yesterday. Barely got here
before ditching it and walking back. What now? Maybe a Range Rover? Or a Lambo?”
“None of those would cut it. He’s still into Black Feather the most.”
“But that car’s already been given to Miss Johnson. No point bringing it up again. Once Mr.
Taylor gives something away, that’s that.”
“Yeah, if his cousin finds out he handed over the car he’s been begging for, he’d probably lose
his mind.”
Right outside Villa 15, Amelia overheard the conversation and froze.
She knew Damien loved the Black Feather, but not to this extent. No other car could even
compare for him. And yet he willingly gave it to her…
Was it because of what those people said last night? About someone gifting Sabrina
Johnson a sports car on her birthday a few years ago?
Her heart couldn’t help but soften.
The co
Of course she was touched.
“Miss Johnson, are you here to see Mr. Taylor?” One of Damien’s attendants spotted her and
quickly swung open the intricately crafted iron gate.
Snapping out of her thoughts, she answered with a soft “Yeah,” and followed him into the
villa.
Dining room.
Damien sat at the table, quietly eating.
He wore a loose white button–down, sleeves lazily rolled up. The collar was slightly open,
showing the sharp lines between his neck and collarbone.
But it was that devilishly good–looking face that really stole the show.
He cut a piece of steak with practiced ease, chewing slowly, eyes placid–until he spotted Amelia. In an instant, his gaze lit up.
“Morning.”
The sunlight streamed through the tall glass window behind him, casting a soft silver glow
on his jet–black hair. For a second, he didn’t even seem real.
Amelia’s heart skipped.
“Morning…”
She pulled out a chair across from him and sat down. After a moment’s hesitation, she
placed the Black Feather’s car key on the table and nudged it toward him. “I think that car
suits you more.”
Damien looked up, locking eyes with her. His voice calm, “You don’t like it?”
–
Amelia shook her head quickly, like a reflex. “No, it’s not that I don’t like it. I just…” I barely
even use a car.
“If you like it, keep it. No need to overthink.” He cut her off mid–sentence.
But she kept shaking her head, trying to explain, “Last night, when you gave me that car in
front of everyone… that already meant a lot to me. I really appreciate it…“So you really
thought I gave you the Black Feather just to get back at someone for you?”

“No, no that model I asked you to custom–make, the Black Feather one! Is it done yet?”
