came with my mom–she had to leave early for something.”

Thing is, Amelia was the one who’d insisted Damien use the Black Feather last night.

Ethan’s sneer deepened. “See? Barely gave it to you and now he’s already taking it back. Wake

up, Amelia. One day he’ll toss you aside like garbage, and when you cry, good luck finding

someone to lend you a shoulder.”
