Chapter 129 Love at first sight–1
Even though Sabrina Johnson loved playing tricks behind people’s backs, at least she wasn’t dumb–she knew when to stop if things weren’t going her way. That kind, Amelia Johnson could handle.
But Rachel Williams? That girl was a piece of work–nothing upstairs and stubborn as a mule. Dealing with her was straight–up exhausting.
It’s nearly impossible to reason with someone who’s just not wired for logic.
Still, a dummy like her has one upside–super easy to manipulate.
Amelia waved Rachel over. “Come on, let me give you a quick tour of the car.”
Rachel bounced over, all carefree vibes, and immediately laid her hands on the car, running her fingers along the sleek surface. “Wow, this feels fancy! I’ve never been in one of these before–I’m gonna enjoy this ride for sure!”
Sabrina, meanwhile, was off in her own world, phone in hand, scrolling through the group chat. Seeing Zoey Mitchell and Chloe Hughes show off their latest luxury buys, she couldn’t help but flex back- bragging in the group about how she was about to ride in a Black Feather. Some in the chat instantly threw shade.
Sabrina replied confidently: “Don’t forget, my sister got the Black Feather from Damien Taylor himself. You really think I’d lie about this?”
That shut a few skeptics up. But there were still some insisting, “No pic, didn’t happen.”
No biggie. As long as Rachel acted dumb like usual and hopped right in the car, everything would be smooth. Sabrina felt pretty smug as she posted: “Y’all keep an eye on my Moments!”
While all this was going down, Rachel was actually listening to Amelia’s detailed intro about the car. Her face started paling the more she heard, until even touching the car made her nervous. Her voice even shook a little.
“Wait… one tiny scratch and the paint repair costs a million?”
Amelia nodded seriously. “Didn’t Sabrina tell you? She knows all about it. Good thing I mentioned it- otherwise you could’ve gotten into real trouble just scratching it.”
Rachel gulped and shook her head. “She didn’t say anything.”
That moment, her resentment toward Sabrina officially leveled up.
Her aunt had warned her- don’t just believe everything people say!
“Yeah, no thanks. This car’s too much, and it’s all black and ugly anyway.”
And before Sabrina could even react, Rachel quickly slid herself into the BMW parked next to it and motioned for Amelia to hurry up and get in too.
As for Sabrina? Rachel just gave her a loud snort.
Chapter 129ve at first sight–1
Amelia went straight to the front seat, deliberately leaving the two others to hash it out in the back. She Just wanted to sit back and watch the show unfold.
But weirdly, the whole ride was dead quiet. Sabrina and Rachel were both glued to their phones.
Sabrina was busy texting Ethan Collins, saying they were out shopping and hinting that he should drop by if he was free.
