Sabrina Johnson stood frozen in front of Richard Johnson, completely crumbling under his
furious glare. Fear had her limbs trembling uncontrollably, and her chest felt like someone
had dumped a boulder on it–so heavy she didn’t even dare breathe too loud.
“Dad? What’s going on?” she asked, her voice tight with panic. Why was she catching all the
heat for stuff that had to do with Amelia?
Richard’s eyes were sharp with anger, his tone icy. “Just tell me clearly–exactly what did you
do and say that day?”
Sabrina’s throat tightened. Why was this coming up now of all times?
Eyes dropping to the floor, voice meek, she muttered, “Dad, didn’t I already explain it to you
before?”
But Richard had no patience left for her excuses. Without another word, he pulled up a video
and hit play–the footage of Amelia being held hostage.
The audio had been cleaned up, and every second of Amelia’s conversation with the guy
came through crystal clear. Even the part where Sabrina blurted out those triggering words at T the end was right there, no way to deny it.
And if that wasn’t bad enough, Richard had another video–surveillance footage showing the
exact moment when Sabrina shoved Amelia straight at the attacker.
By the time both clips ended, Sabrina felt like she’d been struck by lightning and crumpled to the floor, sobbing uncontrollably, her whole body shaking. “Dad, please, listen to me–it’s not think! I totally panicked and didn’t know what I was doing, I was just trying to scare
the guy into letting Amelia go!”

Richard yanked his hand away when she tried to grab him, his voice harsh. “You think I’m buying this crap? You think I’m blind like those clueless folks online? Don’t even try it. You’d
better go apologize to your sister and pray she’s willing to forgive you.”
Grace Williams came hurrying downstairs, flustered. “Honey, what’s going on? Can’t we talk it
out calmly?”
Rachel Williams had been nearby the whole time, watching in horror. The moment things

started heating up, she’d bolted upstairs to fetch Grace and Jessica. Now she was hiding
behind Jessica like a scared kitten.
“Mom, dad thinks I actually wanted to get Amelia killed!” Sabrina wailed, collapsing into
Grace’s arms.
Grace’s stomach dropped. She quickly tried to smooth things over. “Honey, come on, think
about it. Sabrina’s always been so sweet to Amelia–you really think she’d ever hurt her
intentionally?”
Richard’s expression softened slightly, but his voice was still stern. “Whatever the case, she
still needs to apologize. And post something online to clear this up–the internet’s chewing
us apart with all that ‘fake sisterhood‘ trash talk.”
He was trying to protect the Johnson family name–this scandal couldn’t keep spiraling.
Grace frantically nodded. “How about this–we wait till Amelia’s discharged, then Sabrina can
go apologize in front of the reporters. Let them see how well the sisters get along. That’ll
shut the trolls up.”
“Fine. That’s our best option for now,” Richard agreed, though there was still a storm behind
his eyes. He shot Sabrina one last cold glance before walking out.
Rachel finally let herself breathe–thank god no one had brought up her smear post. That
could’ve blown everything to pieces.
Still, watching Sabrina cry like her world had ended was oddly satisfying. Just earlier she’d
been acting all smug–and now? Karma hit hard.
Jessica stepped up to comfort Sabrina, patting her back as she sobbed.
Bored, Rachel flopped onto the couch and scrolled through her phone–until messages
started pouring in faster than she could read. Her hands shook. She tapped one open and
instantly went numb.
Someone had dug up everything about her. She’d been doxxed.
Her phone slipped from her hand and crashed to the floor, the screen splintering on

Amelia Johnson didn’t have much of a reaction after watching that viral video. Well, Damien
