Chapter 140 I can’t find a single fault

Amelia Johnson watched as over ten thousand people flooded into their chat room in an
instant. The screen was nearly bursting, and the chat box was completely filled with one
sentence: [Congrats to Sweet and Sour Ribs and Braised Prawns on their wedding!]
Everyone who joined had something to say.
“Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness and lots of babies!”
“Thanks for the gifts and skins! You two better stay sweet forever!”
She quickly tapped into the event page and finally saw the new update for today. The color
theme was all pink, with red fluttering animations everywhere.
Total feels overload.
“Damien, thank you.”
Such a seemingly small thing, but Damien had poured time, money, and effort into it just for
her. No one could stay untouched by that.
“Do you like it?”
The expression on Damien’s face was impossibly soft, his smile gentle and warm.
Amelia nodded like a pecking chick. “Love it.”
Damien held his phone in one hand, the other arm wrapped snugly around her. “I love it too.”
Something about how he said those four words made Amelia’s heart skip. Was there another
meaning? Or was she overthinking it?
Next, they followed the game’s prompts and step by step, officially got “married” in–game.
It didn’t last long, but Amelia still carefully read each dialogue box aloud in her heart. And the last line-“I’m willing to be Sweet and Sour Ribs‘ wife“-she silently repeated more than a few
times.
The screen ended with a burst of brilliant fireworks.
Amelia was totally drawn in by the glowing lights on her phone. For the first time, she found
virtual fireworks really beautiful.

And in Damien’s eyes, there was only her.

Her attention landed on the ring worn by her avatar. It was so pretty that she blurted out, “The
ring’s gorgeous.”
“Yeah? Good timing, I’ve got one too.” Damien’s eyes lit up with a smile. He took her hand and
slipped on an actual ring–it looked exactly like the one from the game!
Amelia stared at the ring on her finger in a daze. The real one was even more stunning!
Everything tonight felt like a real wedding to her. Sure, things were missing–they hadn’t
exchanged vows, no actual rings at the start, no dress, no family or friends watching… It was
still a game.
Still, she felt she had to thank him.
“Damien, tonight really–thank you…”
Her words got cut off as his fingers gently tilted her chin up, and his lips covered hers in one
smooth motion.
Amelia froze, then melted into the kiss, losing herself in Damien’s starry eyes and getting
pulled under slowly but surely…
By the time she was breathless, Damien finally let go, still reluctant as he pulled the covers
up around her. Then he hopped off the bed and headed for the bathroom.
Amelia tried to calm her breath, but her cheeks were flushing red.
She couldn’t help but wonder–what was that? He kissed her and then ran to the bathroom?
Had he been holding back this whole time?
Anyway, the ring? Super pretty–simple but elegant.
The more she looked, the more she loved it. Since Damien had gone all out with surprises for
her, Amelia figured she had to return the favor. While they were still on the racetrack earlier
today, Emily had already messaged her – the latest upgraded Black Feather model was
finished and currently en route to Heliovard. It’d be there by tomorrow morning!
Damien would totally lose it when he saw the new Black Feather, right?
Amelia quickly set up the webpage and sat on her bed, waiting for Damien to come out. But
*Knock knock-*
