“Morning, Mr. Taylor!”

Rachel Williams shot an annoyed look at the security guard before racing towards Damien.

Taylor, her eyes practically sparkling. Since the moment she first saw him, she’d been head

over heels.

A guy like Damien? Total dreamboat. How could anyone not fall for him?

But just as she was about to get closer, two bodyguards stepped in and blocked her path.

“Hey! Hey! What’s the deal? I’m the cousin of Mr. Taylor’s girlfriend. You’d better move, or

you’ll regret it!”

Damien had only come out to buy some steamed buns for Amelia Johnson–her favorite.

The two bodyguards looked over to Damien, unsure.

“Mr. Taylor, I’m Rachel Williams. Amelia’s cousin’s cousin. She didn’t come home last night, and I got a little worried, so I came to check on her.”

She was yelling loud enough that everyone passing by turned to look.

“My uncle said girls staying out all night before marriage is just not okay!”

Damien’s expression darkened instantly. If there was one thing he couldn’t stand, it was someone slandering Amelia.

“Send her to the police.”

The bodyguards blinked, caught off guard, before quickly reacting. They grabbed Rachel and

started walking her off.

Terrified, Rachel started throwing a fit. “Help! Somebody help me! I didn’t do anything!”

“You stole something,” one of the bodyguards said flatly.

“What!?” Rachel froze. “What did I steal?!”

One of the men pulled out a necklace and shoved it into her coat pocket. His tone didn’t change. “Caught red–handed now, aren’t you?”

Rachel was stunned–seriously? This was nuts!

She ended up sitting at the police station the entire day. After that nightmare, she swore

never to go anywhere near Damien Taylor again. That guy? Terrifying. Who even thinks up

When Jessica Williams heard about it, she was so worked up she didn’t know whether to sit

“She thought hanging onto a bigshot would give her some kind of advantage. But come on, do you even realize what kind of person Damien Taylor is? Totally out of your league!”

Rachel pouted, sniffling softly. “Ugh…”

“Forget it. Auntie will definitely stand up for you,” Jessica said, sighing as she sat down, pulling out her makeup kit and focusing on her look.

Later that evening, Richard Johnson came home. Jessica quickly headed downstairs.

Thanks to Sabrina, Richard had ended up being laughed at all through his dinner meetings.

His face was so dark, it was almost scary.

“Uncle, you’re back! Haven’t eaten yet, right? Let me whip something up. Amelia’s upstairs resting, said she had a headache,” Jessica offered quickly, her tone soft and helpful, and went straight to the kitchen–leaving Richard no space to refuse.

Soon after, she brought a tray of warm dishes into his study. “Uncle, have something to eat,

at least a little.”

Richard rubbed at his aching temples, clearly exhausted. “Thank God you’re here. Without you, this place would be chaos.”

“Don’t say that, Uncle. We’re family,” Jessica smiled sweetly as she moved behind him and gently placed her hands on his temples. “I’ve learned a bit of massage–not much, but maybe

it’ll help?”

Richard didn’t resist, closing his eyes to relax.

Jessica let out a deep sigh. That got his attention.

“This time, Amelia really messed up. She plays piano so well, but kept it totally hidden from
