The manager looked a bit annoyed and casually gestured to the female tea artist standing
beside him. “All our guests who order premium oolong get served by experienced staff. This
lady here? She’s one of our most trusted.”
The tea artist blushed slightly – probably embarrassed by the praise.
But Amelia Johnson didn’t even glance at the manager. Her clear eyes just stayed fixed on
the tea artist as she calmly pointed out a few mistakes in the brewing steps.
“That’s impossible,” the manager cut in right away.
The tea artist froze, lowered her head guiltily, clearly not wanting to speak.
Amelia shot the manager a glance, clearly unimpressed. “Did you brew the tea?”
The manager snorted. “No, but I know every step in the process. You think I got this job for
nothing?”
Amelia gave a small smile and poured a cup for the manager. “Here. Try it yourself.”
He downed the cup without much thought. “Tastes fine. Look, miss, if you can’t afford to be
here, maybe pick a cheaper place instead of causing trouble for no reason.”
Sabrina Johnson quickly tugged on Amelia’s hand, whispering, “Sis, if money’s tight, just say
so next time.”
Amelia looked over at her sister, shook her head softly, and replied, “Sabrina, we’re paying
customers. We didn’t come here to be taken advantage of. Would you really be okay with
being treated like a fool?”
Sabrina rolled her eyes hard. Talking to her sister sometimes was just… exhausting.
“I’m not gonna throw tea jargon at you. Just ask her to show her hands,” Amelia said bluntly,
clearly done wasting time. The manager clearly had no clue what he was talking about
anyway.
“I… I can’t,” the tea artist said, quickly stepping back, shaking her head.
The manager was finally starting to feel like something was off. “What does the taste of the
tea have to do with her hands? Don’t dodge the topic.”

“How do you think the tea was made? With her feet?” Amelia shot back, leaving the manager
scrambling for words.
Eventually, the tea artist had no choice but to show her hands. And there it was–two fresh
cuts, still red and raw.
At that point, Amelia didn’t need to say another word. Everyone saw it for themselves.
Looking sheepish, the manager started apologizing. “I’m so sorry. Really. This tea’s on us,
okay?”
Everyone else in the room probably thought Amelia had wrangled herself a free drink and
were ready to sneer–but to their surprise, she turned him down.
“No need. I noticed a metallic taste–really faint, like blood. I’m not the only one here who can
tell when tea’s off. So I’m just giving you a heads–up: if your staff’s injured, give them time
off. Otherwise, it’s a health risk.”
“You’re absolutely right. I’ll make sure we brew afresh. Everything will be handled properly
this time,” the manager said quickly, nodding and sending Amelia a more respectful glance.
Clearly, this wasn’t someone to mess with.
The tea artist offered a soft apology and a grateful smile before slipping out.
Amelia’s calm takedown left everyone speechless. Especially the ones who were singing
praises for the tea minutes earlier–they looked like they’d just swallowed their own tongues.
“Didn’t know you were a tea connoisseur too, Amelia,” Rachel Williams muttered, her tone
dripping with sarcasm.
Sabrina sighed. “She never tells me anything. Guess there’s stuff I just don’t measure up
to.“Amelia Johnson raised an eyebrow. “Can’t help it. I usually drink this kind of tea when I’m
with Damien. Honestly, I’ve had so much of it, I’m kinda over it. That’s probably why I noticed
something was off today. Turns out it’s premium oolong, huh? And here I’ve been using it to
soak my feet–like, a whole pound at a time. Guess that’s kinda wasteful, right?”
Using top–grade oolong just for foot baths?
Everyone was stunned, their gazes practically dripping with envy and disbelief.
