Chapter 194 I only listen to you–1

With a loud bang, Richard Johnson slammed his hand on the table and stood up, fury written
all over his face. The veins at his temples throbbed visibly. The Johnson Corporation was
everything to him–no one messes with it, not even his own daughter!
“Amelia Johnson, are you threatening me right now?”
Amelia’s eyes narrowed slightly, her expression calm but icy. She stared him down and spoke
clearly, without hesitation: “Yeah, I am. You heard me right.”
“And you know what? If it scares you, that means it’s working.”
Her tone was light, but her words hit hard–sharp and undeniable.
Richard glared at her, his eyes bloodshot, twisted with rage. For a fleeting second, he
genuinely had the urge to hit her. Decades of business battles, and yet somehow he was
being cornered–by a young girl, his own daughter. Humiliating didn’t even begin to cover it.

Amelia instinctively shut her eyes, her body screaming to move, but her feet stayed glued to
the floor like she was rooted in place.
But the slap never landed.
“Agh!”
The scream came from Richard–it felt like his wrist had been crushed!
Amelia’s eyes flew open to find Damien Taylor standing beside her, like he’d appeared out of
thin air. Just the sight of him steadied her heart.
Instantly, her courage surged.
“D–Damien?”
Richard’s eyes widened in horror, his entire body slick with cold sweat, panic flooding his
chest. He was in so much shock, he forgot the pain.

Damien gently pulled Amelia into his arms, shielding her. His gaze locked on Richard like a

garbage.
Richard’s left arm hung limp–that wrist was definitely broken.
His face turned ghostly pale. Still shaking, he forced out a dry laugh uglier than a sob. “No,
