Reborn Second Chance With The Scheming Tycoon novel Chapter 244

Chapter 201 What kind of excuse was that?-1

Claim

The pregnancy meal was set in front of her–all bland stuff. Just the sight of it made Sabrina

Johnson lose her appetite. She craved bold flavors. But she couldn’t not eat it–it was the

designated pregnancy meal, after all.

She figured, since she was “pregnant,” she at least had to keep up the act when people were

watching. With no choice, she forced herself to take a few bites.

Watching her eat like she was swallowing poison, Amelia Johnson found it kind of hilarious.

After the meal, Grace Williams had the maid bring over a bowl of tonic soup.

“From now on, you’ll need to drink this every day–it’s good for you and the baby.”

Staring at the oily layer floating on the soup, Sabrina grimaced. “Isn’t this just going to make

me gain even more weight?”

“Silly girl, you’re pregnant, of course you’ll gain weight. That’s how it’s supposed to be. Now

drink it up–I’m heading upstairs to talk to your dad.” Grace smiled, already planning to ask

Richard Johnson for money to prepare the engagement party.

As soon as Grace left, Sabrina instructed the maid to pour the soup out.

“If Auntie finds out, she’ll be heartbroken, and the baby needs proper nutrition,” came a

sudden voice behind her, nearly scaring Sabrina out of her skin.

Whipping around, she was shocked to see Amelia was still sitting there.

That was weird, Amelia was barely ever home–or if she was, she’d be hiding in her room, not

casually watching TV in the living room.

Now with Amelia watching her so closely, Sabrina had no choice but to choke down the

soup. Seconds later, she dashed to the bathroom and threw it all up.

When she came out, she tried to make her move. “Mom, this soup makes me nauseous–let’s

just stop with it, alright?”

The maid, being honest to a fault, said, “I’ve been a maternity nanny for years now, cared for

over a dozen pregnant women, and I’ve never seen someone gag at this soup.”

Sabrina’s face immediately dropped. “What are you implying?”

“If that’s the case, maybe it’s worth going to the hospital for a full check–up. I mean, it doesn’t

seem like normal morning sickness,” Amelia casually suggested.

“Why would I go to the hospital? It’s obviously just morning sickness! You’ve never been
