Chapter 202 One of the presenters
Sabrina froze for a second. “Mom, how do you know I spent over a million?”
“Why do you think?! You’re using my secondary card – every transaction goes straight to my
phone. Think I wouldn’t find out?”
Grace had just woken up from her nap, only to be bombarded with bank notifications. She
was so mad, she nearly snapped.
“What do you mean I used your card? I don’t even get it…” Sabrina stopped mid–sentence, her
mind suddenly clicking. Her eyes widened and she almost burst into tears from rage. “Mom,
it was Amelia! She used my card to act generous and bought all that stuff deliberately!”
And just like that, the mother–daughter duo marched upstairs to confront Amelia.
The commotion was loud enough that Richard came over too. “What now? Can’t we go a few
days without drama?”
Sabrina jumped to explain, crying, “Amelia used my card without asking! Why would she do
that to me?!”
Amelia blinked with mock innocence. “Wait, I thought you meant for me to pay with your
card. What else could I have done? I don’t have that kind of cash. And besides, everything I
bought was for you and the baby. I didn’t even get anything for myself.”
“But the afternoon tea? You racked up a huge bill!” If she’d known it was her own money she
was spending, Sabrina would never have ordered all that pricey food.
Amelia looked at her with exaggerated sympathy and let out a sigh. “Wow, the whole
pregnancy brain‘ thing is real, huh? You’re seriously forgetting stuff. That tea? You ordered it.
You ate it. I just had plain hot water, okay?”
“You…” Realizing she’d been played, Sabrina was so mad she could’ve exploded then and
there.
Since the money wasn’t actually spent on Amelia, there wasn’t much Grace could say. She
swallowed her frustration and tried to calm Sabrina. “Forget it, the spending was all on you
and the baby anyway.”
But Sabrina was still fuming, muttering through gritted teeth, “I knew Amelia being all

generous had to be fake! She’s so calculating!”
Claim
Grace kept trying to de–escalate. “Think about it – she shopped with you all day, didn’t buy
anything for herself, didn’t eat much either. She’s probably exhausted.”
That made Sabrina feel slightly better. “True, the stuff at Harmonia Mall isn’t cheap.”
“You were at Harmonia?” Grace’s voice went up an octave.
The entire mall belonged to Damien! Which meant, in a roundabout way, the money ended up
back in Amelia’s hands anyway.
The realization left both Grace and Sabrina shaking with anger, cold sweat on their backs. It
felt like all the blood drained from their bodies.
At dinner, the two of them kept glaring at Amelia, who was happily munching away like
nothing ever happened.
“Not hungry, sis? Ate too much at tea time?” Amelia smiled sweetly, eyes sparkling with
feigned innocence.
Sabrina’s face was stone–cold as she snorted, “Yeah, stuffed.”
Amelia turned to Grace, still all puzzled. “And you, Auntie? You not eating either?”
With a stiff smile, Grace stood up and went to pour some nourishing soup for Sabrina.
Honestly, just looking at Amelia’s face one more second made her want to scream.
After dinner, Amelia planned to head to Damien’s place – it had been a few days since they
last met.
The moment she stepped out, she smiled instinctively; Damien’s car was already parked
outside. Talk about being in sync.
Damien got out and opened the car door like a total gentleman. “What a coincidence. And
where’s this gorgeous lady heading tonight?“Amelia Johnson winked playfully. “There’s one
place I’m afraid even you can’t take me to.”
Damien Taylor raised a brow and leaned over to buckle her seatbelt before doing his own.”
There’s somewhere I can’t get to?”
With a sly grin tugging at her lips, Amelia nodded. “Yep. There really is.”
“Then lead the way, Miss Johnson. I’m at your service,” Damien started the engine, fully
