Chapter 204 Stolen

Redhawk Plaza.

This was the spot Grace Williams picked. Otherwise, Amelia Johnson would’ve gone to

Harmonia Mall like always–after all, if she had to spend money, she’d rather it go into her

man’s pocket.

Ten minutes passed before Grace and Sabrina Johnson finally strolled in, taking their sweet

time.

Amelia had just finished her coffee.

She even paid the bill before they arrived, killing any chance of them trying to sponge off her.

Sabrina shot her a sharp look, but Grace gave a quick, hushed comfort. “It’s fine, no big deal.

Let it go for now.”

There was this pricey boutique in Redhawk Plaza that sold designer gowns. Grace led them

straight there and quickly picked out a massive pile of stuff. Some dresses Sabrina hadn’t

even tried on–she just asked the staff to bag them up.

Amelia stood to the side, quietly watching, staying alert. There was no way they invited her

out for no reason–definitely up to something.

“But Sis,” she chimed in, “you’re buying five gowns? There’s no way you’ll get to wear them all.

Or… are you saving them for your next engagement?”

Next engagement?

That was a low blow.

Sabrina scowled at her. “What, I can’t save them for my wedding?”

“Ohhh, that what it’s for? Smart thinking. They might go up in price by then. You really know

how to stretch a dollar,” Amelia replied, looking genuinely impressed.

Sabrina was about to lose it, but Grace tugged her back and whispered, “Ignore her. If you start a fight now and she bails, who’s gonna pay?”

That reminder made Sabrina hold back. She had to, considering today’s plan.

After almost two hours of shopping–and bags upon bags of stuff–Grace turned to Amelia.

Sabrina’s not feeling great. We’ll run to the hospital real quick. The driver will come pick you

up later, okay?”

And just like that, they were gone. Didn’t even give Amelia a chance to respond.

Amelia frowned, looking down at the mountain of shopping bags by her feet. She sat down to

wait.

A staff member came over, asking if she could help out for a bit.

She agreed. She had time to kill anyway, and it wasn’t anything complicated.

But when she came back…

All the bags were gone.

The staff panicked. “They were literally just here! How could they vanish in a blink?!”

Chaos spread across the store, but Amelia stayed unbelievably calm amidst the mess.

She quietly scanned the room and said, “Let’s check the security footage.”

Turns out… the cameras were down.

Wow, how unbelievably convenient.

Back at the Johnsons‘ house, Grace took a call, her eyes cold. “Perfect. You did great. I’ll

transfer the money soon.”

This time, she’d really dealt Amelia a tough blow.

Not long after, Amelia came back empty–handed. Grace played dumb. “Summer, where are

the dresses?”

Amelia kept it honest. “They’re gone. That’s what happened.”

“What? All of them?” Grace looked ready to faint, and a maid had to quickly steady her.

it was Grace Williams‘ money–money she’d saved up for ages – things wouldn’t blow over

that easily.

“Didn’t sis say last time she couldn’t even afford to get Baby something? So how come now she suddenly has enough to pay for those gowns?” Sabrina Johnson threw in that reminder
