“Come with me.” Patricia glanced at her quickly, then turned to leave.

Patricia led her to a quiet corner in the ballroom. “There’s seating and food. Sit here and keep a low profile.

“Got it, Aunt Patricia.” Amelia nodded calmly, but there was no way she was going to just sit here all night. She came to outshine Sabrina-it was impossible for her to just fade into the background.

Besides, even if she did sit quietly, Sabrina would probably still figure out a way to humiliate her.

“There are plenty of big shots here tonight. Do not cause any drama. If you stir up trouble, the engagement’s off-don’t count on Dad backing you up,” Patricia warned firmly.

Amelia responded with a nod. “Don’t worry. I know how to behave.”
