Chapter 117 Room 3208
Trevor caine down with the small of his back against the bed frame, and he watched her turn for the door. “Nora, don’t make me do this the hard way.
“I’m still asking nicely. Give it a minute and it’ll be too late to be sorry.”
That got a flat laugh out of her. “The only thing I’d be sorry about is another second in a room with you. I’m taking the proposal.”
She crossed to the bed, picked it up, and turned to go.
“Nora! Last chance. I’ll count to three. Turn around like a good girl and we can still talk.”
She didn’t bother answering.
“Three.
“Two.
“One!”
Nora’s hand had only just closed on the handle when the room tipped and the floor went out from under her.
She fell back against the door and glared at him. “What… what did you put in here?”
Trevor rubbed the small of his back and came at her a step at a time. “You didn’t smell it? It’s sweet in here. It makes a woman agreeable, so a man can do whatever he likes with her.”
“You…” Her legs went out from under her, and she slid down the door, barely able to hold herself up.
“I told you to be good. I told you you’d be sorry. Begging me now is too late.”
Trevor reached to take hold of her chin.
Nora knocked his hand away with everything she had left. “Don’t touch me!”
That one swing seemed to take whatever was left. She went down and sat where she landed.
The blow stung, and he drew a breath through his teeth, then looked down at her. “All that, and you’ve still got some fight in you.
“Good. Lying there like a dead fish is no fun anyway.”
Nora stared up at him. “Trevor, this is a crime!”
Trevor laughed at that. “You came to my room. You came on to me. Where’s the crime in that?”
He took out his phone and started recording. “Nora, in a minute you’ll be the one begging. Don’t worry, I’d never hurt you.
“All I want is a video to remember it by. After tonight you’re still Mrs. Weston. If one night is all it takes to

get you pregnant, even better. And if it isn’t…”
vor pulled the shirt off, crouched down, and took her chin in his hand. “Then we’ll just have to do this a few more times, until you are.
“You and I can carve up the Weston money together.”
Then, he reached down and started tearing at her dress.
The next second, a scream tore through the room.
Outside the hotel, the rain came down in sheets and the sky hung so black it looked ready to come down on top of everything.
Three luxury cars pulled in and stopped outside the lobby, and the doorman hurried over to get the doors
open.
Julian got out in a black suit, and whatever he brought in with him pressed on the room harder than the black sky outside.
He looked like something that had walked straight out of hell.
Sienna had been waiting in the lobby, and she hurried over the moment she saw them. “Grandma, Julian, you’re finally here.
“I saw Nora with the Orion proposal with my own eyes. She went into Room 3208 with Trevor Lane, her
first love!”
Constance asked her, “Is she still in there?”
Sienna answered without a flicker of doubt and led the way. “Half an hour now, and she hasn’t come out of 3208 once. I’ll take you up.”
Constance’s face was grim and she said nothing, only walked ahead with long strides, and everything about her promised a storm.
Olivia turned to her. “Sienna, could you have it wrong? Nora doesn’t seem like that sort of person, and there’d be no reason for it. Trevor isn’t worth a hair on Jules’s head.”
Sienna’s voice rose. “There’s no chance I have it wrong. I heard it and I saw it, and this time I recorded it. I stood at that door, and I heard the sounds they were making in there.”
Olivia smiled. “I believe in Nora. She isn’t blind enough to want Trevor.”
Then, she looked over at Julian, whose face had stayed cold the whole way, worse than the storm outside.
She asked him, “Do you believe her, Jules?”
Julian’s face gave nothing away, his lips pressed thin, and he stepped into the elevator without a word.
Olivia watched him. He was silent, cold, and hard to look at, and she made her voice gentle.
“You’ve only just married, and Nora did love Trevor once. It would be perfectly natural not to trust her…”
