Chapter 247 Fighting Fire with Fire

Ovia pressed her lips together and forced her jealousy down. “Did you two sleep together?”
Nora answered without a hint of embarrassment. “We were in the middle of it when he had the attack.
Olivia got worked up and raised her voice. “I told you, no sex while he’s in treatment! None! So why did you sleep with him anyway?
“You could’ve killed him!”
Nora let out a scoff. “Instead of blaming me, why don’t you ask your grandmother why she did this? She never gave a damn whether Julian lived or died.”
“And another thing!” she added coldly. “Instead of throwing a fit, tell me what you’ve been giving him. Whatever it is, it’s obviously even more toxic than the poison he already had.”
She suspected Olivia had been treating him with something highly toxic, fighting fire with fire.
Olivia could see Julian convulsing. She bit her lip and pulled herself together. “Julian’s life is in danger. Get him to the hospital first. Take him to the Blithe Institute Annex. I’ll call my grandmother and have her treat him herself.”
Nora’s expression turned icy. “In his condition, the only thing that can save him is an antidote, and he needs it fast.
“You fought poison with poison to keep his toxin in check, so you must have an antidote.”
Olivia gritted her teeth and denied it. “There’s no antidote. All we have is Clearheart. Just get him to the hospital. I’ll catch the first flight back to the city.”
She’d spent the past few days volunteering at a free clinic up in the mountains, far from the city. At this hour, the earliest flight back probably wouldn’t be until tomorrow.
Olivia was so worried that she teared up. “Nora, you have to find a way to keep Julian going. The earliest flight I can get is tomorrow morning. He has to hold on until I get back.”
Nora frowned. Something about the way Olivia said that seemed off. She didn’t make it sound like she wanted to see him one last time. It was more like Julian was guaranteed to die without her.
Either way, it sounded like Julian was in even worse shape than she’d thought. Her expression hardened. “I’m not letting him die!”
She stayed on the call so Olivia could keep an eye on him. Then, she checked Julian’s pulse again and put a few more needles in him. At last, his convulsions stopped, and he sank into a deep sleep.
Next, she used her own phone to call 911, explained what was happening, and gave them the hotel’s address.
Sienna had heard every word and seen everything on the screen. From the sound of it, Julian was in bad shape. He might actually die. “Nora Sinclair, what the hell did you do to Julian?” she demanded furiously.
“I’m the one you’ve got a problem with!” she went on. “What does Julian have to do with it? How could you be so heartless as to try to kill him?”

She was so angry that her eyes were red. “If anything happens to Julian, I won’t let you or the Sinclairs off
hook! I’ll make sure your whole family goes down with him!”
Nora didn’t even glance at Sienna. She just pulled the bathrobe back onto Julian and replied flatly, “You’re nuts. Murder’s illegal, and wiping out an entire family? That’s about as illegal as it gets.”
That stopped Sienna cold, like someone had dumped a bucket of ice water over her head. She was speechless. Gee, thanks for the law lesson.
Once she found her voice again, she gave Nora a vicious smile. “I’m not stupid enough to do something like that. But the Westons have a million ways to make the Sinclairs’ lives hell!”
“Then thanks so much for taking care of the Sinclairs for me,” Nora said. “Please, go make their lives hellas soon as possible. You don’t even have to wait for Julian to die. Feel free to start right now!”
Then, she called the front desk and asked them to send up two sets of clothes, giving them both sizes. Her clothes and Julian’s had either been torn apart or left soaking in the bathtub.
Sienna didn’t know what to say. It was like throwing a punch at a pillow, and she’d only worked herself into a rage for nothing.
After stewing for a moment, she stuck her chin out and fired back. “Either way, you tried to murder Julian, so you’d better brace yourself. At the very least, you’ll be divorced and left with nothing!”
Nora was sick of her yapping at a time like this. “Don’t worry. If Julian and I get divorced, I’ll go after Gideon. Then, you can call me Mrs. Vance.”
Sienna nearly exploded. “You must be scared of getting divorced and walking away with nothing! That’s why you drugged Julian, so you could give the Westons an heir! Then you tried to pin it all on Olivia! Nora Sinclair, you’re pure evil!”
Nora rolled her eyes. “All you ever think about is drugging people and having babies. With a mind as dirty as yours, you could drug Gideon and he still wouldn’t be interested. He couldn’t even get it up for you!”
“You-” Sienna was practically hopping mad.
Olivia looked at Julian, still unconscious, and lost her patience. She cut Sienna off angrily. “Julian’s life is on the line! Could you stop running your mouth and actually worry about him for once?
“If you don’t know how, go look up flights and find us the fastest way back!”
What an idiot. What good is yelling at Nora going to do? Olivia thought.
