Chapter 267 Leave My Family Alone
“No, it’s just…”

The steward was driving, so he cut Phil off. “Whatever it is, it can wait. I’m on my way with the Order’s pills for Mr. Weston, and I can’t really talk while I’m driving.” He hung up before Phil could answer.
Phil put his phone away and hurried to tell Constance, “See? The Order’s steward said so himself. He sent that doctor, and now he’s bringing the medicine over too.”
Sienna chimed in. “In the car earlier, I heard Dr. Blithe call the Caduceus Order and ask them to send Julian the special medication. Grandma, quit taking Nora’s side.
“Otherwise, Dr. Blithe and Olivia are going to get upset, and then they won’t give Julian the medication.”
Olivia said gently, “Of course we wouldn’t do that. As long as Julian’s safe, it doesn’t matter who saved him.”
Constance frowned deeply. “I don’t know what you people did to cause this mix-up, but Nora is the one who saved Julian. Not some Dr. Corbett. Nobody here ever laid eyes on him.”
Cordelia frowned too. She was sure Phil wasn’t lying, and she knew how much weight she carried in the Caduceus Order. She’d told Felix to come treat Julian, so there was no way he hadn’t come.
She looked at Constance, clearly displeased. “Let me ask you something. Is Nora actually claiming she saved Julian?”
Nora walked out of the ICU just in time to hear that, and she answered without a trace of hesitation. “Of course I saved him.”
Sienna scoffed. “Wow. Somebody’s full of herself.”
Cordelia turned to Constance, her tone icy. “Constance, do you really believe Nora saved Julian, and not us?”
She wasn’t hiding her anger anymore, and there was a hint of a threat in her words.
Constance didn’t back down either. “I’m only telling the truth about what I saw with my own eyes. This isn’t about who I believe or whose side I’m on.”
Cordelia scowled. “Look, saving lives is my job. I was in the middle of someone else’s surgery, and I couldn’t just walk out to come save Julian. If you’re upset with me for that, I understand.
“But if I hadn’t asked, the Caduceus Order would never have sent Felix, let alone given up such a precious medication for Julian.
“So if that’s all the thanks we get and you’d rather believe Nora, there’s no need for the steward to bring the medication. And Olivia and I won’t be treating Julian anymore either.
“Let Nora handle his treatment from now on! Olivia, we’re leaving!” She grabbed Olivia’s arm and turned to go.
Olivia pleaded with her anxiously. “Grandma, if we leave, what happens to Julian? Please don’t be mad at

Nora. She didn’t mean it.”
Cordelia’s expression was icy, and stre kept pulling Olivia toward the exit.

Olivia looked to Nora for help. “Nora, why don’t you just apologize to my grandma? She’s really easy to get along with. She won’t hold it against you.”
That made Nora laugh out loud. “I saved Julian. I didn’t do anything wrong, and I didn’t say anything wrong. You’re holding Julian’s life over my head to make me grovel, and that’s what you call easy to get along with?”
She gave Olivia a cold look. “Ms. Blithe, do you ever get tired of playing the sweet little angel?”
Cordelia was livid. “Fine. Fine! Fine!
“Ms. Sinclair has guts, and apparently she has the skills to match. She can take care of the rest of Julian’s treatment, and his three doses of the special medication too. Olivia and I clearly don’t have what it takes, so we’ll stay out of it.”
She turned to Constance. “All these years, Olivia and I have done everything we could for Julian. And now, you want to switch doctors. Fine. Just don’t come looking for us later, and don’t come begging.”
With that, Cordelia gave Olivia’s arm a hard yank. Olivia was jerked so hard that she was nearly dragged off, but she grabbed Nora’s arm just in time.
“Nora, please don’t pick a fight with my grandma right now. For Julian’s sake, even if you didn’t do anything wrong, can’t you just apologize first?
“That’s the Caduceus Order’s special medication. They developed it just for Julian. Without it, he’s only out of danger for now. He’s not really better. Please, Nora, just apologize.
“If it’s the credit you want, fine. Once Grandma gives Julian the medication, I’ll tell everyone you’re the one who saved him. Please, I’m begging you. Just apologize, okay?”
Olivia was close to tears, and she sounded completely desperate.
Even Sienna was moved. She glared at Nora. “Olivia’s swallowing her pride for Julian’s sake, You want the credit for saving him, and she’s even willing to give you that.
“Dr. Blithe’s only mad because you’re stealing the credit. All she wants is an apology. Why can’t you just apologize?”
Before Nora could say a word, Constance stepped in front of her and looked up at Cordelia. “Nora is not apologizing to you! And I won’t let her take the blame for something she didn’t do, not even for Julian.
“Cordelia, if you won’t save Julian until somebody apologizes to you, then I’ll apologize myself. Just leave my family alone.”
With that, Constance bowed low before Cordelia. “I’m sorry. It’s all my fault. Please keep treating my grandson. He means everything to me.”
