different story. She’d once traveled to Kestria on a medical relief mission. So he was most likely here for Olivia after all.
With that thought, Olivia’s confidence soared. She walked gracefully up to Count Ansel with a poised, elegant smile. “Hello, Count Ansel. I’m Cordelia Blithe’s granddaughter, Olivia Blithe.
“Are you here to see me about my grandmother?”
Harlan assumed Count Ansel was here for Olivia, and he instantly regretted being so harsh with her
earlier.
He hurried over to her, practically groveling. “Olivia, forget the hospital. Forget about you and Theo. As long as you’ll give Theo some serious thought, I’ll let Julian and the others stay in the main house!” He was desperate to get his foot in the door with Count Ansel.
Olivia stood a little taller and looked over at Julian and Constance, proud and expectant, waiting to see the regret on their faces.
But they were perfectly calm and didn’t even glance her way. Olivia bit her lip and quietly made up her mind. Later on, they’d have to beg before she lifted a finger to help them.
Count Ansel was annoyed at having one person after another get in his way, and he dropped all pretense of courtesy. He glared at Olivia and raised his voice. “Who’s Cordelia Blithe? And who are you? I don’t know either of you, and I’m certainly not here for you. Please step aside!”

Count Ansel beckoned, and another man from his entourage hurried forward. “Ms. Blythe, I’m John Ashby, chairman of Jostar. Here’s our contract. I’ve already signed it. Please take a look, and if everything’s in order, all it needs is your signature.”
Jostar was the company behind the deal, and John was Joss’s boss.
Nora took the contract, flipped through it quickly, and looked up at John in surprise. “You’re giving us three more percentage points than the last contract?”
Three points might not sound like much, but over the life of this project, it would add up to more than $10,000,000,000. Olivia didn’t know much about business, but even she knew how huge that was. Jostar was practically handing over a fortune!
John smiled and nodded. “That’s right. It’s an honor to work with you. I wouldn’t dare haggle. Besides, this is my way of making it up to you for the trouble I caused, even though I never meant to.”
Then, he looked worried. “Are you not satisfied? I can give you two more points.”
Nora laughed softly. “That won’t be necessary. A partnership should be a win-win, not one side taking a
