Reborn to Marry My Best Friend's Uncle novel Chapter 140

The moment Annie and Christian left the scene, Suzanna finally dropped the act.

"Old hag, where did you get the nerve? Sending the Frost family an invitation was just basic courtesy. Did you really think you were someone important?

"And what did you just say? The Frost family's future son-in-law?"

Suzanna let out a sharp laugh and eyed Sean with pure disdain, making her feelings unmistakably clear. "Please. You're not even worth my time."

Helena's face flushed a burning red, shock and fury tangling together. "You little brat, what nonsense are you spewing?"

The commotion had already drawn a crowd. Guests circled around, whispering as they stared straight at them.

"Isn't that the Snyder family's eldest daughter, Suzanna Snyder?"

"Yeah, it's her birthday. Didn't Mrs. Frost even recognize the guest of honor?"

"Damn… That's embarrassing. And she tried to introduce some divorced old man to Ms. Snyder?"

"Poor Mrs. Frost. Her eyesight must be going."

The murmurs weren't loud, yet every single word had pierced right into Helena's ears.

The Snyder family's eldest daughter?

Her mind went blank.

Impossible.

She had done her research. The Snyder family's eldest daughter lived overseas, kept to herself, and never appeared in public.

How could this sharp-tongued, bristling little hellcat be the heiress she had spent so much effort trying to cozy up to?

Helena was blindsided, frozen in place, as if someone had slapped her out of nowhere.

Sean was just as stunned.

He couldn't believe that Suzanna was the eldest daughter of the Snyder family. His cheeks burned like someone had slapped him over and over in front of the whole crowd.

Seeing their twisted expressions, Suzanna felt half the fury she had held in for so long finally ease.

But half wasn't enough. Not nearly.

"Not bad, Suzanna. You've got some fight in you."

Suzanna turned her head.

A man in an outrageously flashy suit was leaning against a Romatia column, his eyes curved with interest as he watched her.

It was William, the useless slacker, who always hung around Christian.

Her brows instantly furrowed. She had zero patience for these spoiled rich boys who relied on their family names to cruise through life.

She shot him a look full of disgust. "Get lost."

William let out a low whistle, completely unbothered. "Now that's some attitude."

Instead of leaving, he stepped even closer, his eyes lighting with interest. "Oh, come on. Don't be like that. We're going to be family soon."

Suzanna recoiled, waving him off like he was a fly buzzing around her head. "Who said we're family? Stop flattering yourself."

That only made William perk up even more. He jogged after her immediately. "Hey, Suzanna, don't walk away!"
