After Christopher left, Amelia left the corridor as well.

Meanwhile, Jasper had made plans to discuss the partnership with Caleb.

Jasper looked in the direction she came back in and asked, "Where did you go?"

"I went out for some fresh air."

"Let's head over," Jasper urged. "Mr. Newton is very professional in his work, and we can talk more to him about it."

There were exclusive VIP reception rooms at the press conference venue. There was also a wide range of applications of Alchemax's new materials. Partnering with them would certainly save them much time and trouble in the future.

When they arrived at the reception room, they saw Caleb brewing some tea.

When he saw Amelia and Jasper, he smiled at them and said, "Mr. Langley and Ms. Sinclair, have a seat."

He started engaging in small talk the moment they settled down.

"I heard that Nova Nine is preparing to bid for a government tender," Caleb said as he poured Jasper and Amelia cups of hot tea.

"Yes, we are," Jasper said with a smile before introducing Amelia to him. "This is Amelia Sinclair, the one in charge of the project."

Caleb didn't seem to have any significant response. He merely took a sip of his tea and surveyed Amelia.

"Mr. Jasper, I believe you might be blinded by something," Caleb said as he put down his own teacup and filled Jasper's.

Caleb held Jasper in high regard as a new-generation pioneer of the industry, and was disappointed that Jasper chose to be blinded by Amelia's beauty. He couldn't condone Jasper's behavior.

The Amelia Sinclair he knew was an undergraduate who only knew how to take care of children and tend to the house. How could she possibly be in charge of a project under Nova Nine?

Jasper was treating work as child's play.

Caleb couldn't accept such behavior.

If Jasper was just bringing Amelia along to various events, Caleb didn't quite mind that. Business and personal affairs could be kept separate.

However, he clearly introduced Amelia as the person in charge of the project. To Caleb, that was very irresponsible and hasty of Jasper.
