Ever since Nicole got hurt on the turf, Nathan started ostracizing her in school.

No one wanted to be with her, no matter the activity.

The teacher saw the children's response and furrowed her brows.

"Evelyn, did you do something that everyone hates? Why don't they want to be on the same time as you? Perhaps you should reflect on yourself."

Evelyn looked down and said, "I can complete the group assignment by myself. There's no need for me to form teams."

The teacher from her enrichment program said that she no longer needed to attend kindergarten and could skip a grade and go straight to primary school.

Anyway, she was going to leave at the next school term. She didn't want to add to her mom's troubles.

She just had to tolerate it for one more term. Once summer vacation rolled around, everything would be better.

The teacher furrowed her brows. She could sense the recent improvement in Evelyn's studies, but the group assignment was certainly more complex.

If a company was suffering from defeat after defeat, there was certainly a problem with the management. If she didn't clean things up on the inside, they would lose everything, no matter how many investments they managed to draw.

"I've contacted a few partners," she said. "Ascent Corporation can't keep relying on others to help it. It has to learn to stand up and walk."

Jasper knew the principles behind managing a company. "It's fine. As long as it's not a lost cause, I'll help wherever I can. Please let me know how I can help, okay?"

Amelia nodded. "Thank you. I don't have plans for the project this morning, but I'll be busy doing tests in the afternoon. I'd like to head out this morning."

"Sure," Jasper said. "I'll let you take leave today if you have too much to do. You're a shareholder of this company, too. You can always grant yourself a leave of absence anytime."

Amelia couldn't hold back a chuckle. "You're such a willful boss. You can't squander company resources like that."

Jasper said, "But you'll have to postpone this afternoon's test to tomorrow. We need to meet a partner this afternoon and he'll be meeting us here. It'll be best if you can make it back in time to meet him, but it's fine if you can't."
