It was clear that he was talking about a very important partner.
Amelia looked at Jasper and asked, "Which company is it?"
"Navitech."
Amelia was stunned to hear that and asked doubtfully, "Navitech? They're a long-established company in the industry and are considered leaders in this field. They want to work with us?"
"Navitech is a long-established company in this industry, so it makes sense that they're seen as the pioneers of this field," Jasper said as he leaned against his table.
"They're always open to new ideas despite being bigwigs in the industry, insisting on bringing in new talent. They're also always looking to work with companies with accomplishments in their own right."
"The technological industry is a fast-paced one that develops and grows very quickly. Or perhaps, it's more accurate to say that our country's technological industry took a while to warm up to things and there remained a huge space for improvement.
"They're here because of the patent you developed last month."
"That patent?" Amelia said with furrowed brows. "Navitech's staff is capable of doing that anytime."
The patent was developed for a small company to earn a quick buck.
"That's different. They can, but they need time," Jasper flashed Amelia a smile. "You're different. You did it very fast."
The last time at ISSDS competition, Navitech already gave them a call. They clearly had a target in mind.
"I'll be back in the afternoon."
Jasper nodded. "Don't give yourself too much pressure."
Amelia smiled coyly. "How could I see a breakthrough and usher in a new life without pressure?"
Pressure wasn't necessarily a bad thing.
She then left Nova Nine's office building to head to Ascent Corporation's building.
She called for a shareholders' meeting in her mother's name. The shareholders refused to submit to a young woman like Amelia.
The HR personnel had no choice but to do as Amelia instructed.
After hanging up, she glanced at her watch and found that it was about eleven o'clock. She had no time to eat as she had to rush to deliver food to her mom.
When she walked out of the ward, she bumped into Tania.
"Ms. Sinclair, I heard you're recruiting for Ascent Corporation," Tania said with a smile. "There's no need for that. Ascent Corporation is on the brink of collapse. It's a hopeless case. On account of how good your relationship with Nicole is, I can give you a way out."
Amelia looked coldly at her.
Tania went on with a smile, "Let Ascent Corporation collaborate with ACE Technologies to get over this crisis, but I want co-sharing of the technology. We'll secure the government tender and have a win-win situation for both companies."
She looked haughtily at Amelia, who was nothing but a weakling in her eyes.
"It's a rare chance for you, and you should consider it carefully. If it weren't for Nicole who came to me, I wouldn't even make you such an offer."
