Chapter 163

Amelia couldn’t help but survey this man from head to toe.

Lincoln Spencer?

She had never seen this man in her past life, but she had certainly heard about him.

Lincoln Spencer, CEO of Navitech, was a legendary figure in the industry. He took up his father’s mantle at the age of 28. Currently, he was at the age of slightly over 30. Under his leadership, Navitech had soared to greater heights as one of the leading companies in the industry.

Amelia did not expect him to be here at Nova Nine in person. Why didn’t Nova Nine send anyone to welcome such an important guest?

“So it’s Mr. Spencer.” Amelia smiled apologetically at him. “Hello, I’m Amelia Sinclair from Nova Nine’s technical department. I’m terribly sorry for the poor reception on our part. Someone should have received you downstairs at your arrival.”

Lincoln didn’t appear to have any intention of blaming Amelia and simply greeted her with a smile. “Hello, Ms. Sinclair.”

He lifted a hand to shake hers before speaking further.

“Don’t feel pressured, Ms. Sinclair. My staff from our technical department arrived first. I made the last-minute decision to join them, and Mr. Langley doesn’t know about it.”

Realization dawned upon Amelia. No wonder no one came downstairs to receive him.

Lincoln was a lot friendlier and more approachable than his reputation made him out to be. He seemed like a chivalrous and well-mannered gentleman.

“Lead the way, Ms. Sinclair.”

Amelia brought him upstairs and texted Jasper along the way to make sure that someone would be at the lift lobby to receive Lincoln when he arrived.

The moment the lift doors opened, Jasper said with a smile, “I didn’t know you’d be coming, Mr. Spencer! Apologies for not welcoming you in person downstairs.”

“I came at the very last minute. I just hope I’m not inconveniencing you or your team,” Lincoln said.

His eyes were warm and gentle. Despite being a bigwig of the industry, he barely put on any airs.

The rest of the staff immediately came rushing out to receive him upon hearing that he was here. They started engaging in technical discussions even before arriving at the meeting room.

Throughout the discussion, Lincoln listened quietly and attentively, his facial expressions never betraying his

emotions.

When the meeting was over, Lincoln stood up and said, “Thank you all for the hard work.”

Throughout the entire discussion, Navitech’s technical department staff members were very approving of Nova

Nine.

“I booked a private room to treat everyone to dinner,” Lincoln said.

“That’s too kind of you, Mr. Spencer! We should be the ones treating you to dinner and being a good host to you, “Jasper said.

Lincoln looked back at him with a smile. “We’ll be partners from now on. There’s no need to stand on ceremony with me. Why draw such a clear line between us?”

Striking a partnership with Navitech was a good thing for Nova Nine. Navitech was superior to Alchemax in

many areas.

Having met Lincoln Spencer today, Amelia was starting to realize how he was able to lead Navitech to greater heights. Ordinary people wouldn’t have his vision and drive.

It was difficult for them to refuse Lincoln’s kindness, so Amelia brought the whole technical department to Nightingale’s Mist.

Lincoln had booked the best private room in the restaurant, which could accommodate a dozen people. Everyone present played an important role in the technical department.

During the meal, Lincoln hardly talked. He just quietly listened to the discussion from the technical staff of both companies. He looked more like an observer at the table.

Amelia occasionally glanced at her watch, worried about her mother in the hospital.

The dinner had been going on for a while. She picked an appropriate opportunity to excuse herself.

Lincoln glanced at her.

He put down his spoon and said softly, “We’re almost done with the meal. Let’s call it a day. We can arrange another meeting to discuss the rest of the collaboration details.”

Everyone was left wanting more, especially after the engaging discussion over the meal.

But since the head of the table had spoken, they started bidding each other goodbye and taking their leave.
