Chapter 173
“Hello, I’m Mr. Zephyr’s divorce lawyer, Henry Yaleman.”
The man next to Christopher introduced himself to Amelia.
“If you don’t have any objections to the divorce terms, please go ahead and sign the papers. Once signed, you can just register the divorce at the clerk’s office tomorrow.”
Henry was a top-notch lawyer in the country. Luke had introduced him to Christopher.
Upon finding out what had happened at the hospital yesterday, Luke immediately contacted the best lawyer he
knew.
Amelia finally wanted a divorce, and it was great news to Luke.
She had usurped Nicole’s spot for so many years. Well, she could forget about getting any more benefits from
the divorce.
Amelia looked at the divorce agreement on the table. She didn’t expect Christopher to have the divorce papers drawn up.
She picked up the documents and flipped through them. If the terms he put forth looked reasonable and Cyrus didn’t see a problem with them, she wouldn’t mind signing.
However, her brows started furrowing when she saw the terms in the agreement.
The terms weren’t as harsh as she imagined them to be. In fact, they were completely unexpected.
Amelia knew that Christopher had always been generous, just not to her.
However, the terms stated clearly that he would give her prime location land in Northon, ten properties, and a hundred million dollars in divorce compensation.
The property he was offering included their marital home and two more properties in Rhymington Villas.
Properties in Rhymington Villas were almost priceless, and he only gave Nicole one when they failed to get their
hands on her mom’s villa.
“Still not signed yet?”
Just then, Luke came back from the washroom and saw them still at the table.
“Don’t you dare try to ask for more!”
He stared at Amelia and saw one of the terms in the agreement from the corner of his eye. He didn’t see it very clearly, but he was very sure this wasn’t the agreement he saw back then.
Luke’s eyes widened. When did Christopher have a new agreement drawn up?
Christopher looked at Amelia. “Is there anything you’re dissatisfied with?”
Just then, Henry spoke up. “If there are any other terms you’d like to include, we can always add them in. How the terms will be worded specifically will depend on your negotiation.”

Amelia fell silent. Christopher was offering to give her a lot, but the agreement said nothing about the custody of their child.
It felt unusual that he was being so generous. He even gave her space for negotiation.
“Anything’s fine as long as you get divorced as quickly as possible,” Luke said as he looked at Christopher.” What’s there to talk about with her? She has enjoyed being Mrs. Zephyr for so many years. Are you still trying to play nice?”
Amelia didn’t deserve to be the wife of a wealthy man for so many years. She practically stole the title from someone else!
As a well-reputed lawyer, Henry never got himself involved in the private affairs of his clients.
Luke had put in a lot of effort to get Henry to accept his case. He didn’t want Amelia to take advantage of Christopher!
Amelia stopped at nothing just to marry Christopher and be part of a wealthy family. After enjoying many years of riches and prosperity, taking the place that was supposed to be Nicole’s, letting her leave the marriage with at least something was already an act of extreme benevolence.
Even if Christopher let her leave the marriage with nothing, he wouldn’t be faulted for it.
Amelia wouldn’t be able to fight for anything, even if they were to go to court.
Although she was working at Nova Nine, she was still a brainless and frivolous housewife. How long would she be able to stay in an enterprise like Nova Nine, anyway?
Luke had always looked down on Amelia.
Christopher remained silent at Luke’s question.
“Regarding the custody of the children,” Amelia said, “I’ll take Evelyn while you take Nathan.” 1
He wanted a clean break for Nicole’s sake, while Amelia just wanted custody of Evelyn. In fact, she could do without all the divorce compensation he was offering.
