“There were some delays this morning, you see.”

Just then, Jasper and Amelia arrived.

It was an official government event, and she tried to keep a low profile. The more elegantly she dressed, the more it accentuated her graceful and vivacious demeanor, which made her stand out from the crowd.

Nova Nine was seen as a dark horse of the industry, and their arrival also drew many people’s attention.

“Let’s find Mr. Adrian Lane for a chat. Their production line and OEM operations are comprehensive. It’ll be great if we could work with them,” Jasper said.

They had checked out the invitation list and were clear of their objective this time.

Amelia nodded.

“Mr. Langley and that lady next to him look like a great pair, too. She looks so elegant and almost ethereal.”

“Yes, I see many beautiful couples here today.”

“It’s been a while since our industry has seen so many outstanding and good-looking people.”

Caleb’s eyes turned dark at the sight of Amelia. He had seen Amelia many times, and was dazzled by her beauty today.

Luke noticed Amelia as well. He had to admit that she was a beauty, indeed.

But that was all that was to her, a beautiful outward appearance.

Adrian Lane, who stood nearby, was confused by Luke’s reaction.

“Do you have something against the lady next to Mr. Langley?”

Luke smirked. He didn’t make it clear the name of the person he was referring to, but he described all the underhanded means that Amelia had stooped to. 1

The look in everyone’s eyes changed as they turned to look at Amelia once more.

“I never expected her to be someone like that.”

However, Caleb retracted his gaze. “I can’t make a judgment without knowing the full picture.”

“Caleb?” Luke glanced at him. “Don’t you already know the kind of person she is? Why such a drastic change in attitude?”

Caleb left, not bothering to explain himself.

Jasper was the cream of the crop in the industry, and many people were vying to work with Nova Nine. Very soon, he and Amelia found themselves surrounded by people.

They were full of praise for the new technology applied in Eos X7. Within the industry, no one had come close to its standard.

No one knew who the designer of Eos X7 was, except for the fact that the designer came from Institute 511.

There were only a few possible candidates in Institute 511. Jasper himself participated in the design and research work.

“Most of the credit goes to this lady by my side, Amelia Sinclair,” Jasper said warmly and humbly.

He clearly regarded Amelia highly when introducing her to the crowd.

Luke’s eyes turned cold. He found it laughable.

Wasn’t Jasper worried about embarrassing Amelia by speaking so highly of her when she would eventually be exposed?

The better he spoke of her, the more she would be embarrassed.

Luke wanted to get a good look at Amelia getting mocked by everyone when the truth was eventually exposed.
