Chapter 194
Nicole immediately spoke up for Mathan.
“Chris, we should be fair in dealing with children. We should identify who’s in the right and who’s in the wrong

“Did you hit her?” Christopher asked, looking straight into Nathan’s eyes,
His intimidating gaze sent a chill down Nathan’s spine. His dad liked him, but he still feared his dad.
He lowered his head, wanting to deny it.
Christopher went on, “Don’t tell me that Evelyn inflicted the injury upon herself.”
“I was just fighting back and defending myself,” Nathan said with pursed lips.
“That means you hit her,” Christopher said emphatically. “Since you hit her, shouldn’t you apologize?TM
Nicole fell silent.
She knew that Christopher was trying to discipline Nathan and decided not to interfere. It was indeed wrong of Nathan to hit others, although there wasn’t a clear conclusion just yet as to who was right or wrong
Nathan was just apologizing, and he should be taught how to be an upright gentleman.
The future heir of the Zephyrs had to be magnanimous and chivalrous in treating others.
Nathan glanced helplessly at Nicole, trying to seek help and support.
When he saw Nicole remaining silent, he bit his lip before saying reluctantly to Evelyn, “Sorry.”
Evelyn stood stunned for a moment, but she quickly recovered and said, “You should also apologize to Mom. You shouldn’t have said that about Mom and misunderstood her that way.”
Nathan’s face turned red with anger as he clenched his fists. “Don’t go too far!”
“Nathan Zephyr,” Christopher said, looking down at him.
Tears welled up in Nathan’s eyes. He didn’t understand why his dad was standing up for Evelyn and making him apologize!
The tears rolled down his cheeks as he sobbed, “L. I don’t want to!”
Apologizing once was enough. He didn’t want to look so lowly!
“Alright, fine.” Amelia stood up straight and looked coldly at Christopher. “Since Nathan bullied another child in school, he should be punished according to the school rules, which state that he should be expelled and disciplined accordingly.
“I did not!” Nathan immediately refuted Amelia’s claim.
“Evelyn kept bullying me! The teachers and students can all testify to that. None of our classmates like her. She should be reflecting on herself instead of accusing me of bullying her! She’s just unlikable.”

Amelia scoffed.
Was he really trying to twist facts like that?
“I want to see footage from the surveillance camera. His words alone are not sufficient as proof,” Amelia said. “1 want to see footage over the past two weeks.”
The teacher was stunned by Amelia’s request.
“Well…”
“Do you have a problem with that?” Amelia asked. “Since Evelyn is accused of bullying Nathan, you should retrieve all the footage from the surveillance cameras in the school.”
“Yes, go ahead,” Nicole said with a cold chuckle.
She believed that Nathan was a good kid.
He couldn’t possibly lie and bully others. What was more, Nathan was in such a miserable state because of Evelyn.
Over the years they lived together, neither of them had ever fought. Why would they start fighting right after Christopher and Amelia got divorced?
Evelyn listened to the adults’ conversation, her arm wrapped up in gauze.
She pursed her lips and said, “I can tell you exactly when Nathan bullied me. You just need to retrieve the footage during those timings.”
“You?” Nicole scoffed in disbelief.
How could a child so young have such a good memory?
Nicole smirked in disdain. “Sure, go ahead!”
